Episode 188 landed, fasten your seatbelts and get ready to depart!
Pull n Way – “So Hard”
Let’s open this new episode with the incredible duo Pull n Way, bringing us their latest single “So Hard”! After four years out where lead singer Mylène Schuler stepped away to focus on motherhood, the Swiss duo is back at it alongside long-time producer Andy Prinz without missing a single beat.
This track was written with UK songwriter Anna Neale, and dives into the feeling of that exact moment when you run into an ex and realize you’re not over them at all. Mylène’s voice sounds brilliant here: warm, grounded, full of character, with an instrumental that complements her voice in a perfect way.
The whole thing builds towards an absolute weapon of a chorus: catchy, emotional, and remarkable enough to make it get stuck in your head. “So Hard” takes a messy and relatable feeling and turns it into pure pop gold; a strong and confident comeback that brings Pull n Way right back into focus, showing off their growth as songwriters while setting the stage for where the project goes from here.
Neon Diffraction – “Stay a While”
Neon Diffraction are bringing an absolute madness of a groove to the table tonight with this incredible drum and bass track. The energy is crazy here, driven by massive and commanding basslines, and just the right hint of blues that adds a seriously spicy flavor to the whole mix. It is genuinely one of those tracks you simply cannot afford to miss, not even as a joke.
To top it all off, the vocals are the ultimate cherry on top. That distinct vocal tone and unique style bring so much personality, making an already stellar production feel even more special and one-of-a-kind. It smoothly wraps up the entire vibe, keeping you hooked from start to finish.
This is proper liquid dnb with a twist, so if you are looking for something that hits hard while keeping things refreshingly soulful, this is an essential addition to your playlist. Turn it up loud and let it take you for a ride!
Junovion – “Fading Light”
You might never have heard of Junovion, and that’s a shame, because this incredible artist has more to offer than many others out there. He brings us “Fading Light”, the lead single from his upcoming EP, which hits that sweet spot between heartfelt storytelling and classic synthpop energy. Behind this project is a physician who is also a classically trained pianist and violinist, and his name is Jonathan Jun.
The song starts with a quiet acoustic guitar riff before opening up into lush synth layers, nostalgic strings, and a crisp drum beat. The concept of the song focuses on that frustrating point in a relationship where things are falling apart even though both people still care, and we know many of you will relate to this. His vocal performance is what really makes everything so unique.. it sounds raw and honest.
We can clearly hear his musical background in the production, giving it a real sense of depth and a structure that runs smoothly throughout. This is a fantastic introduction to the project, and it’s definitely the right track to get to know Junovion better.
QUINTESSE feat. KARL JOSEF – “On my way”
QUINTESSE teams up with KARL JOSEF, bringing us killer pop-rock track “On My Way”. Kicking off super quiet with a moody guitar and a beautiful stage piano, letting Felix’s husky, unforced baritone be the star of the night. The vocal delivery is raw and intimate: his voice feels both determined and fragile at the same time, heartfelt yet courageous, fitting harmoniously alongside the glorious sound of the sax.
As the track rolls on, it starts gathering serious momentum. Thumping drums, gritty bass, and a winding guitar line kick things up a notch, pulling you into a dynamic swell from uncertainty to full-on confidence. The interplay between the guitar and the saxophone is absolutely wicked. The sax adds a super tasteful flavor instead of sounding cheesy, acting like a second voice chatting with the main melody.
With a clean mix, solid pace, and a wonderful dynamic, this track is an absolute banger of a build-up that has to be played at least once.
Komaframe – “Clouds in the mirror”
Komaframe brings us his single “Clouds in the Mirror”, and it’s an absolute vibe! This multi-instrumentalist from Rome takes the best parts of the new-wave golden era and totally flips them on their head. The track features a hypnotic groove and a mysterious atmosphere, before layering in some crazy guitars and incredibly solid live drums.
You’ll be surprised at how naturally this develops: it starts off all hushed and hypnotic, but right around the halfway point, the drums get way more intricate and the whole chorus section opens up into a cinematic peak. A bit dark, mixed with psychedelic textures, makes this track seriously addictive.
No vocals needed here, as the killer guitar riffs and atmospheric synths basically do all the job, as easy as that. It’s super engaging, effortlessly cool.. it really proves that instrumental music can go hard. Crank this one up, and let it take you on a wild journey! You’ll thank us later, don’t worry.
Sacha Mullin – “Social Touch”
We might have just found the best album of the year: Chicago’s best pop artist Sacha Mullin brings us “Social Touch”, featuring a warm, pop-forward vibe that’s bound to hook you like crazy! This project is an absolute dream from start to finish, weaving deeply emotional storytelling with addictive art-pop textures.
Sacha’s vocal range is just out of this world: his voice effortlessly goes between vulnerable intimacy and expressive peaks. He doesn’t rely on over-polished pop clichés; instead, the production relies on warm synths, clever instrumentation, and rich arrangements that give every single track its own magic. It explores the delicate balance between human connection and emotional isolation with an easygoing vibe.
“Social Touch” is a delightfully vibrant and quietly adventurous project that proves you can embrace pop accessibility without losing your soul, and Sacha manages to do that beautifully, showing his skills as a thoughtful songwriter and artist.
Sheba Holly – “I Thought”
Ok guys, “I Thought” is one of the most innovative tracks we’ve heard this year, dropped by Sheba Holly.. it’s an absolute gem of a really unique R&B concept, something that you’ve never heard before. Here, Sheba takes a classic story of heartbreak, realizing the love you trusted wasn’t what you thought, and flips it into a powerful moment of self-worth and healing.
The track is super moody, blending infectious crunchy basslines with lush synth pads that cradle her voice perfectly. And speaking of her voice, Sheba’s vocal performance is the real MVP here. Her smooth, warm, and expressive tone carries so much emotion: it’s vulnerable yet decisive, especially when she hits the soft bridge section and the final chorus.
Stunning vocals, deep basslines, and tight drums keep the groove catchy while making the whole vibe float seamlessly. Clean production, incredible dynamic balance, and pure soul: this track is a complete knock-out of a slow-burn ballad that deserves a spot on your late-night playlist, 100%.
