Space Discovery: Fia Silena – “Cheers Baby”
Fia Silena’s latest single, “Cheers Baby,” is a sparkling cocktail of electro-pop, funky vibes and infectious rhythms that are guaranteed to get your feet moving, and not only that. It’s like she’s taken the essence of a Friday night out with friends, distilled it into a song, and served it up with a side of sass and style.

All these elements coexist perfectly in the mix, with a top-notch production. In fact, let’s not forget that her debut song “Kill the Butterflies” earned a German Songwriting Award nomination and she also won “Best self-written song” at the Thüringen Grammy 2023 with “Kiss Me Before You Leave”. So it is obvious that this track had to be at the same level, if not better, than what she’s done previously.
We are sure this track was studied specifically for this time of the year. The track starts with some violins, which are the perfect funk intro, shout-out to Jamiroquai, who wrote some of the most iconic funk pop tunes that we listened to on the radio. Here Fia is following along, but the track is not just the typically funky track, has the piano chords and different FX make the song fit perfectly in an electro-pop playlist as well. The guitar licks reminded us of early and latest Calvin Harris production, let’s say everything that this song reminded us was top-notch producers and artists, as you noticed. The sum of it is an insanely catchy track that has a distinctive character and that we found perfect for this year’s summer.
