HYPERSPACE: Best Discoveries of the Week – Episode Thirty-nine

And here we are at the end of May, very next to the summer. We are very excited for the summer festival season and we cannot wait to dive into it. We prepared this Hyperspace article with this in mind.
You’ll find an eclectic selection of music from all around the world and from many different genres. Think about this like our personal line-up for a boutique festival, but up in space. Free oxigen for V.I.P. tickets buyers, all the rest should bring their own space suit. We know, festival are very expensive, so we try to emulate the trend, don’t take it out on us.

DE ANTIQUIS ET NOVIS – “Falling Stars”
After we introduced DE ANTIQUIS ET NOVIS in one of our Best Of The Moon article last year, we are excited to have this talented artist with us once again, this time giving us a completely whole new vibe with his latest tune “Falling Stars”.
This is a dance/house tune that features an incredible groove with a succulent sound design, along with ethereal vocals this tune is perfect to open the dance floor this Friday night!
ROGUE FX – “The Fifth Step”
Rogue FX got us covered once again this Friday with another retro-style banger tune! We are talking about “The Fifth Step”, his latest tune that features catchy arpeggiator synths reminding us of the early 80s, with groovy basslines and the classic 808 drum machine sounds, this song will surely bring you back in time to have a real taste of the true retro wave!
DIE SOFTLY – “Shade”
Let’s keep staying in the 80s with the sound of Die Softly, the wonderful solo project created by Seattle-based musician Leah Rosen that combines elements of retrowave, chillwave, synth pop and dream pop. Her release “Shade” is a nostalgic indie pop-80s track with a very unique style, exactly like one of these songs you see in a movie and suddenly enters your mind, sitting in there for days. Extremely remarkable and addictive tune!
SUGAR NOVA – “Halogen”
Sugar Nova is back with us again with their astounding sound, but this time here to please our ears with a 9-pieces album called “Halogen”! This album space from an alternative indie to dance-pop and more, with a mix of electronic sounds mixed with classical instruments. Velvety vocals along with carefully crafted productions will surely make you fall in love with the album: a solid project that you don’t wanna miss!
MOLTENO – “Stars”
Get ready to have a multisensorial experience with the magnificent sound of Molteno, a phenomenal artist from London, UK. This incredible talent not only has an incredible voice but is also a musician and producer, making this solo project extremely interesting.
Her latest tune called “Stars” will let you dive into a surreal journey, where you’ll be cuddled by dreamy vocals and beautiful landscape sounds.
Tash Hills – “Who d’you think you are?”
Hope you guys are ready to inhibit your body and get crazy on the dancefloor with the sick vibes of Tash Hills, back with us once again to spike that fire!
Her latest release “Who d’you think you are?” just changed our whole mood with its incredible vibes and funky retro groove, along with the outstanding Tash’s vocals this tune is an absolute hit!
CARTER RAY – “Empty Promises”
This next artist just released an incredible single about toxic relationship. A lot of people will feel represented on this one, and it is uplifting seeing people like Carter Ray singing about these themes. Carter Ray is an incredible singer from Los Angeles, and on his song “Empty Promises” he showcases all his talent with a dark pop/electro pop production. Incredibly compelling and exciting, we cannot wait to see what Carter Ray is going to do next.
FRANCESCA PALAMIDESSI – “Ultramarine”
We are now headed to Rome, Italy, to meet the incredible singer, musician, and producer Francesca Palamidessi, an artist with a lot of experience and great musical taste.
Francesca’s new single “Ultramarine” is extremely minimal, led by her naturally talented voice and a detailed sound design this tune is an amazing discovery: a soft but powerful song with a unique temper, you can’t miss this out.
LUMP200 – “Isles Of You”
You will now recognize this amazing project from a mile away. We had the pleasure to meet Lump200 during our Space Discovery, which you can find here, and always had a great time listening to his music. His latest album continues to wonder, the sound design this producer is able to create is like no others, reverse sounds, layered and heavily effected drums, everything is super exciting in his releases. If you are into Avant Garde and experimental electronic, you gonna have a lof of fan with “Isles Of You”.
MASSIMO DE SIMONE – “Danza Aliena”
We have another amazing artist from Rome with outstanding musicality and originality, we’re introducing the singer and songwriter Massimo De Simone.
His latest tune “Danza Aliena” is a song that will bring you on a surreal journey even if you don’t know the Italian language, with beautiful melodies, changes of scales, and rhythm, this song will keep you company for this cozy Friday evening!
COKE BEATS – “Angela Colombino – E’ Festa (Coke Beats Remix)”
We are now going to introduce Coke Beats, an incredible music producer, and resident DJ from Ibiza Stardust that brings us his crazy take on the Italian song “E’ Festa” From Angela Colombino. This techno remix is exactly what we needed this Friday night: acid basslines and captivating landscape sounds along with punchy drums and the very characteristic vocals will definitely make our night unforgettable!
ANTHONY CASUCCIO – “Systematic EP”
Anthony Casuccio is an incredible musician, singer, and producer with over 30 years of experience, working on many different projects, and he’s now bringing us his latest EP “Systematic” which features 5 tracks. This EP has an electronic dance-pop sound that will get you extremely addicted to its compelling melodies and feel-good vibes, to the more nostalgic and melancholic track “Why Wait”. Don’t miss out!
KMALECTRO – “Human Race – STOP !”
Kmalectro brings us again crazy dance vibes with the latest tune “Human Race – STOP !”, an electronic/techno song inspired by Kmalectro’s experience and passion for Kung Fu.
This song is an exploration of the current state of our world, and how we can make a positive impact to protect the planet. This incredible track is available to listen to along with a sick video release on youtube, we’ll leave a link below!
NIERI – “Where Would You Drive?”
Nieri is here to stay, and to bring us his sick sound full of emotions and incredible feelings, blending a few genres to give life to his latest masterpiece “Where Would You Drive?”.
This is a dance tune with sonic synths and house beats, reminding us of the 90s with these electro sounds and rhythm, this tune will bring on the dance floor some incredible vibes!
SHAROD VIRTUOSO – “Drop A Pin”
We are definitely not ready for the hottest artist of the moment, releasing hit after hit and previously being with his sick style, we introduce again Sharod Virtuoso and his latest charming tune “Drop A Pin”! This alternative RnB has been stuck in our heads with its neat sound and its provoking and remarkable vocals: the perfect tune to be played this Friday night!
CHANCE THE CLOSER – “I’m N Luv Wit Da Reefer”
Chance The Closer is an incredibly creative artist, and we know that his sound and his way of producing music will literally open your mind to new horizons.
“I’m N Luv Wit Da Reefer” is definitely the right tune to start with, discovering this colorful world that Chance The Closer wants to show us: get ready to dive into another dimension with this crazy sound!
NIKOLAY CRANNER – “Times EP”
We are excited to have with us the outstanding Norwegian producer and DJ Nikolay Cranner, here to make our bodies move with his latest project called “Times EP”.
This is a 2-tracks EP in collaboration with 2 other artists, and we can tell you that the dancefloor is definitely not ready to hold the incredible power that those tracks will release!

DINA LAYZIS & ARTEM TENKELI – “Silhouettes”
We want to introduce the incredibly talented Dina Layzis (singer/songwriter) and Artem Tenkeli (producer/composer) that teamed up for this stunning single called “Silhouettes”.
This is an amazing piece of art: an emotional tune led by the beautiful voice of Dina, accompanied by the outstanding musical arrangement of Artem. We really hope to see this duo in action again soon, this is a perfect pair!
MICK J. CLARK – “Born To Party.”
Let’s fly to the United Kingdom for this next one. Mick J. Clark is a proliphic singer and we just discovered his song “Born To Party”. A contagiously anthemic tune, perfect for every party. The lyrics, are not just about partying though, you can feel there’s a clever maturity to it. The funky guitars and choir make the song even more catchy. A must for party goers.
GREYWARE – “View From A Balcony”
This music project from United States, really made or hazy weekend better. Greyware on his last single “View From A Balcony”, created a chill, cinematic tune, that will immerge you in a calm state, yet meditative. The piano caress your ears and the guitar riffs, introduced after half of the song, will wake you up, making you aware of the whole beautfy of the tune. An semi-electronic and lo-fi inspired track you need to add to your playlist.
THE ONE TONIC – “Half Life”
Imaging Mark Lanegan going fully electronic, add some more spice and you’ll probably have something that sounds like the last The One Tonic tune called “Half Life”. This has an impressive vocal performance that evolves throughout the song, while Mark Lanegan might stay on his basso style, The One Tonic has a full range of exciting pallette and nuances of sounds. The dubstep and electronic ear candies make this song extraordinary, be sure to not miss this tune.
MAJOR KAMI – “Infinite Light”
Let’s fly to France for this next one. Major Kami just released the Infinite Light EP. An incredibly uplifting release with two dreamy and catchy tracks. MysticalMusical Maze has an amazing introduction that showcases all Major Kami best productions and vocal talent. Infinite Light, is a more syncopated track, perfect for radio stations and sing-alongs. Both tracks have very interesting and experimental productions. A breeze of fresh air in the alt-pop genre.

March has just begun and we couldn’t wait to share some new tracks with all of you. Here we go again with some amazing tracks you probably never heard before. We went far out into deep space to find these ones dear space travelers, and here we are with our precious bounty.
You cannot say we don’t like to share, and this treasure is for all of you to enjoy, our interstellar music doesn’t have boundaries and we are sure you gonna love this edition as much as the other ones.

If we haven’t opened the dancefloor yet, is time to do so with the help of Gabdez, an incredible artist. DJ and producer from Sicily, Italy. This incredible talent has played gigs all over the world, playing alongside big artists such as David Guetta and Ingrosso. His latest tune “Ella Se Pone” is a crossover between reggaeton and house music featuring latin vocal samples and powerful drops!
Phidippus – “Light & Dark”
Phidippus is a true talent, a brilliant artist, DJ and producer from Denver, USA, present in the music industry for a very long time, we can tell you this guy has a lot to show you. Seat your belts and get ready to absorb his sound with his first EP of 2023 called “Light & Dark”:
a 4-piece drum&bass project that features an outstanding analog sound design and some neat drum patterns, you don’t want to miss this!
Silvermouse – “Tripgnosis”
Let’s give us some time now to sit and relax, enjoying the beautiful music of Silvermouse, a superb duo from Puerto Rico! With a huge experience in the music industry, playing gigs for over 12 years, they bring us their latest tune “Tripgnosis”: a hypnotic meeting of mandolin and electronica, supported by the consciousness-altering signals of Monroe Sound Science. Get ready for this incredible journey, we warned you!
Pretti Emage – “First Place”
Pretti Emage is an amazing rapper based in Tampa, Florida, and she brings us her music style which is a blend of Hip Hop and R&B. She’s been releasing music since 2016, with tracks reaching over 100k streams, now Pretti Emage drops another hit called “First Place”: a fire track with a neat sound and a sick flow, this is the perfect tune to be pumped into your car’s speakers!
Sugar Nova – “I Wouldn’t Worry”
Sugar Nova is a wonderful electronic indie-pop duo based in Denver, USA, offering soulful vocals and pop-oriented beats, with arrangements that nod to Nu-Disco, Indie-Dance, Dance/Electronica, Dream Pop, and Chillwave. Their 4th single released just a month ago is called “I Wouldn’t Worry”, a chill electronic track with a Caribbean tilt featuring remarkable vocals and feel-good vibes.
MISSINGNO. – “You_Know.”
Missingno. is a wonderful artist from Brooklyn, NY. His music heavily incorporates sounds that are reminiscent of many classic Nintendo games and combines them with elements of today’s Pop and Hip-hop/RnB. His latest release is called “You_Know.”, a cutting-off anthem with a minimal beat and a refined selection of sounds that combined with his style calling it “808-bit”!
STELLAN PERRICK – “NAUGHTY”
The incredible vibes of Stellan Perrick have already captured our souls, with charming vocals, mellow sounds and solid drum beats, this artist’s gaining public attention in a very short frame of time. His latest release “Naughty” is a very sensual song with deep meaning hidden within the lyrics: “Nothing can ever give you true satisfaction or happiness until you are happy with yourself.”
Ty Brasel – “TRANSCENDENT”
When we first heard of Ty Brasel, we were definitely got blown away by the quality of his productions, and we are excited to have this incredible talent here on SpaceSour. His latest project is a 15-piece album called “TRANSCENDENT” where electronica finally meets hip-hop getting along beautifully. This is a wonderful experience, make sure you listen to it on great speakers/headphones to enjoy it to the fullest!
CLOUDXCITY – “Better Than Me”
CLOUDxCITY is a phenomenal duo that brings us today one of the freshest sounds we could hear in this 2023 so far, which sees a mix of pop, R&B, hip-hop, synth-wave, and electronica, giving life to a real one-of-a-kind genre. If you don’t believe us, listen to their latest release “Better Than Me”: we got hooked from the first seconds and literally didn’t want the song to end.
TREVOUR AMUNGA – “09 MESSI”
Trevour Amunga is a talented rapper and songwriter based in Los Angeles, USA, here to bring us his poetry with a powerful sound. His latest release is called “09 MESSI”, an alternative Hip-Hop tune that, as the title, is fully inspired by the big soccer player Messi.
Expect from this track terrific vocals, out-of-this-world rhymes, and an extraordinary and remarkable flow.
DOMAX – “New Moon”
We are glad to have back with us also this week the formidable artist Domax, and present his latest killer EP called “New Moon”: a 6-piece masterpiece project that hosts some dreamy vibes with its unique soundscapes and cinematic sounds. The EP also brings a solid sound design with synth-wave and 80s reminiscence. Get ready to dive into a wonderful experience with this incredible project!
Mathias Christiansen – “Metaphor”
For this one, we’re going to fly to Denmark to meet with an incredible electronic artist. He goes under the name Mathias Christiansen and he just released his last single called Metaphor.
The track has an amazing sound design and a great cinematic vibe to it that made us really enjoy the track. With some chillwave vibes us well this track is perfect to be listened to in the moments of maximum focus or fo get momentum before an important event. very uplifting.
THE OFFICIAL 4PM – “What Can I Say”
It’s now time to chill out with this amazing gem made by The Official 4 pm. That’s a band based in Baltimore, US that is bringing us some amazing positive vibes and some brightness on these really cloudy days.
What Can I Say is their last single and that’s an amazing pop tune with some Reggae and Caribbean vibes we really enjoyed. The chorus is extremely catchy, and we are sure it’ll get stuck in your mind as well.
ANNA ORBISON – “Slipping”
Who said that pop tunes cannot be emotional anymore? Anna Orbison is here to prove the contrary and her last single Slipping is proof that you can make an extremely catchy song and still get to the heart of people without being cheeky.
Anna wrote this tune during some hard times in her life, and it is definitely a vibe, where a lot of people can find themselves in her storytelling.
STEVE N’ CHRIS – “REMIX KINGS Mixtape”
It is now our time to say “Another One”, after listening to this incredible mixtape with some of the best remixes we listened to in a long time. Steve N’ Chris just released their REMIX KINGS Mixtape which includes remixes of some of the biggest artists like DJ Khaled, BABYFACE, LIL BABY, TEMS, DIDDY, ELLA MAI, METRO BOOMIN and Drake. The first track is indeed “God Did” from DJ Khaled *ANOTHER ONEE*, and Jimmy Cooks is definitely one of our favorite tracks. The whole mixtape is incredible though, Steve N’ Chris gave so much more depth to all these tracks that we are in awe. Incredible!
MARQ ELECTRONICA – “Nervous”
Last but not least we have this really entertaining track made by MARQ ELECTRONICA. The title of the track is Nervous, and we definitely feel related to the lyrics. How many times have we said or thought “You’re making me nervous”? And this track really speaks to us. The electronic elements here merge perfectly with the human elements, guitar and vocals, creating a deep house/dance tune that sounds incredibly fresh.

TONYC – “Trauma”
TONYC is a german music producer and DJ, he began his musical career playing at high school parties back in 2012. He loves to experiment with all kinds of genres, especially on the bass-heavier side of music, and here comes his latest single “Trauma”: an electronic dance tune that will put on fire the dance floor with its crazy groove and its bouncy basslines!
JOSY B – “Crush”
Josy B is a fascinating singer and songwriter from Puerto Rico, ready to bring some cool vibes with her latest release called “Crush”, produced by Travis House.
This song has a retro funky sound, a neat groove that goes along an 80s acid bass, along sexy and remarkable vocal lines: a fun tune that you’ll definitely want to listen to more than once!
SUGAR NOVA – “Tiny Helicopters”
Sugar Nova is an amazing upcoming duo based in Denver, USA. The unique characteristics of these guys are soulful vocals and pop-oriented beats, with arrangements that mix different electronic genres, mining deep lyrical themes while keeping your body moving to the beat. Their latest release is called “Tiny Helicopters”, an electronic dance/chill production with a calm and relaxing mood!
ODAIBA – “Superfunk”
If you have never heard of Odaiba then it’s time for us to introduce him to you: an artist and music producer with loads of experience, combining accurate rhythmics and captivating bass melodies we can tell you this guy has a remarkably unique style.
His latest release “Superfunk” has both retro and modern vibes, featuring fantastic sounds and mixing textures, vocoder, and funk brilliantly.
GABRIEL MUNOZ – “Fake Highs”
We are very excited to have with us once again an outstanding artist like Gabriel Munoz, back on SpaceSour with his 3rd release of 2022 (if you missed his previous release, you can find it here). “Fake Highs” brings a nostalgic mood with its beautiful melodies, keeping the typical remarkable style of Gabriel, featuring extremely catchy choruses that will make you crave more!
TOM ORLANDO – “Fool In Love (feat. Mary Dee)”
Tom Orlando is an incredible hip-hop artist that has been in the music industry since 2017, inspired to make it big he built his unique sound, bringing us his latest release called “Fool In Love” featuring the beautiful vocals of Mary Dee. COLDS – “Come Out”
It’s time to have some great time with the amazing sound of Colds, an outstanding talented artist that has released a banger tune just couple of months ago. We’re talking about “Come Out”, a synthpop retro track that features a groovy upbeat rhythm, fancy ear-candy guitars and lush synths, going along some catchy vocals, this is an unforgettable tune!
NAPIER DAYS – “Blackout”
Napier Days is an outstanding music solo project of the incredibly talented Martin Kühnert, singer/songwriter and music producer from Berlin, Germany.
His latest tune “Blackout” is his second release, a song about the doubtfulness of one’s own memory, fear and the distortion of reality and illusion. Featuring dark and mysterious vibes with catchy choruses, you’ll definitely get lost in the melodies of this song!
RADIKALHINDU – “DVD”
“DVD” is the latest release of the incredible DJ and producer Radikalhindu that teamed up with rappers 201JUN and Lij-Aman, giving life to a mind-blowing track that features a sexy old school hip-hop beat and some flawless vocal lines. The tune is smooth and neat, with a pleasant mood and a solid quality, we definitely recommend also listening to the other tracks of these outstanding artists.
JULIET CALLAHAN – “Ghost Girl”
We are thrilled to have with us the incredible pop-rock singer/songwriter and producer Juliet Callahan with her cutting-edge style.
“Ghost Girl” is her fifth release, a sound that mix a bit of alternative pop-rock, grunge, and trap, featuring nostalgic melodies and flawless vocals. Seat your belts, this tune will let you dive into your deepest feelings.
BŠĀR – “December”
We are very excited for this single we are going to present you. That’s a very catchy synthpop track called “December” which really comes out at the best time of the year. Instead, that going for a melancholic Christmas tune, BŠĀR was able to bring a really summery and positive track before the end of the year.
That’s the perfect tune to end the year, listen to it just before celebrating with your friends, perfect for a good dance as well.
JULIAN PETRIN – “Embrace”
This track was initially released in 2003, but later it was re-recorded and mastered in 2020, and brought to us in this definitive version. Directly from Germany, Julian Petrin was able to deliver a very cinematic and intriguing track called “Embrace”.
That’s a mesmerizing and captivating track, which starts with a bassline and then evolves into a more complex sound design thanks to synths and reverb effects. Absolutely don’t miss this one.
WOTTS – “SOMETHING”
And here we are again presenting you the best Indie Pop duo from Canada. If you read other of our articles, you noticed that Wotts are omnipresent with every new release they have. That’s what happened with “Something”, a very catchy pop track with some synthpop elements reminiscing of some The 1975 productions in the genre.
That’s their last release for the year, so absolutely don’t miss this one, such a great production and memorable melody.
SNJÜ – “Keep It On Low”
This next tune is a collaboration between SNJÜ and the rapper Blitzkrieg. SNJÜ is based in Vancouver, Canada, but it definitely sounds international with his latest release “Keep It On Low”.
The beat has that underwater feeling at times that reminisces OVO productions with Drake, a sound design we personally love. Anyway, this tune is extremely catchy, with some complex melodies that go in tandem with a mesmerising rap flow.
ALANP – “Hold On”
ALANP is a musician and producer from Lyon, France and he just released an incredible new album called “Hold On”.
The production of this release is incredible and he is able to merge many genres in a flawless way. You can listen to Drum n Bass, EDM, and Future Bass all on the same LP. Alanp does all of this gorgeously and we are excited to see what will release for 2023 as well.
IMELDA GABS – “Reckless”
This last artist omes directly from Switzerland and just released a heartbreaking tune that’s gonna make you cry hard tears.
We are talking about Imelda Gabs, with her latest tune Reckless. That’s an incredibly passionate piano-driven tune. this has some gorgeous cinematic vibes sustained by a complex sound design that gives brilliance to Imelda’s incredible performance.
