His last track is called “Who Ya Know” and it is produced by Epik the Dawn. The beat is minimal yet genius, working around a perpetual squeak that gives the right momentum for Zenodro’s flow. Accompanied by some catchy whistlings, the 808 hit hard together with the lyrics.
JENN VIX – “Mr. Strange”
Be prepared to be introduced to this new audacious track and artist. The artist, is based in Rhode Islands, United States, and goes by the name Jenn Vix.
She recently released her new tune called Mr Strange, and by looking at the music video, which you can find here, looks like she had loads of fun with the co-protagonist (a male blow-up doll). That’s an Indie Pop and trap-infused track, with an extremely catchy melody, you should take a look at.
Best of the Moon: Best Tracks of the Month – Chapter Seven
Welcome to the Moon!
The festival season has already begun, we have been to some amazing festivals and concerts so far, and we hope you had the opportunity to explore some events as well.
In case you didn’t have the possibility to roam a music festival and discover some new acts, don’t worry, we got you covered. Here we are going to present you the best discoveries of the last month and a little bit above as well.
We got some Electronic Pop and some Funky tunes that will make you move and jump and dance like you’re indeed at a very music festival. unfortunately, we don’t have shitty bathrooms and noisy campsites that won’t make you sleep at night, we hope that’s not a problem.
Let the journey to the moon begin.
CHARLEY – “Runnin’”
The first artist that’s gonna open this Best of The Moon article is a singer from New Haven, US called CHARLEY who just put out her second single called Runnin’. This summer vibes tune is extremely catchy merging different genres from 70s Disco Music to Blues.
All done in a seamless way thanks to the incredible production which highlights every instrument and CHARLEY’s vocals at the same time.
The funky guitars and groovy bassline reminded us a bit of Jamiroquai, anyway the vocal style is pure Country energy. No Wonder she’s going to open for acts like Stevie Nicks, Brandi Carlile and Dave Matthew’s band.
This reckless cowgirl definitely stole our heart with her whip and we are looking forward to seeing what she’s going to put out next.
MAYA YENN – “Better Luck Next Time”
Maya Yenn was just selected for the British Independent Film Festival for her last Music Video for “How Much Can You Swallow”, which we covered in one of our past Best Of The Moon articles, but she didn’t stop there.
She indeed released another very catchy tune called “Better Luck Next Time”. Maya Yenn is here wearing an oversized suit, playing the role of a businessman. Through the lyrics of the song, we can imagine this hard-working man still incredibly busy while the airplane was instead crashing down.
Such a relevant theme, about the dichotomy of work and life (or maybe death in this case). We always think that day by day we are following a path and going somewhere, but is it really like this?
That’s why we love Maya Yenn, while singing this incredibly funny track, reminiscing of some of early Billie Eilish tracks, she is able to talk about this very philosophical theme, with a sad verse and over-the-top happy chorus. We are still not sure if the 9-5 option makes sense, but one thing is sure, Maya wearing a suit and drinking a martini in the lyric video (here) is definitely more badass than us.
Tony Zoo – “Night Rider”
TONY ZOO is an incredible independent artist from Athens, Greece, and he says that producing music is just a hobby for him, but it doesn’t seem like that since what we heard so far sounds impressive and very interesting!
What we loved about this artist is his experimentation and development of analog sounds that are difficult to find in the music industry right now, making his music pretty unique and peculiar.
His latest single “Night Rider” is a retro/80s-style song with groovy drum patterns and vintage synths that literally drives you to another dimension thanks to the outstanding mood of the tune and the remarkable sound design.
This is a song that will relax and ease off your mind, definitely the right tune to listen to after a long day of work or a chill evening!

SAHARA BECK – “AND HER KRYPTONITE”
We are insanely glad to host once again here on SpaceSour the incredible talent SAHARA BECK, and finally introduce her brand new EP released just a month ago: a 5 tracks EP called “And Her Kryptonite” and it includes some old and new tracks.
The EP starts with “Crave Me” and “Kryptonite”, the first 2 tracks released in 2021 that truly express inner Sahara’s personality, definitely a great start also for the new listeners to familiarize themselves with her sound and proceed with the listening of the rest of the EP.
“Nothing Wrong With That” comes next, and is a new release that came out with this EP: literally a masterpiece with flawless vocal production and a musical arrangement like no others, this song could easily be a soundtrack of a movie, or maybe just the soundtrack of your life..!
The ep keeps going with “Stillness” ( included on our OuterSpace Vol.2) and “Teenage Dirtbag” which is her latest single and also our favorite tune of this EP. This latest release is quite different from her main style: is an acoustic production with a delicate and cozy touch that left us speechless, with a beautiful and emotional melody and Sahara’s magnificent voice, in our opinion this release shows the “raw” her, and her incredible skills that prove once again that she’s a true talent.

Moon And Aries – “Paradise”
We are delighted to have with us MOON AND ARIES in this Best Of the Month selection, after knowing a bit more of them with a recent Space Discovery (if you missed it you can find the article here), they had the time to work on their latest EP called “Paradise”.
Needless to say that this EP is another piece of art: a total of 5 tracks that will bring us on a dreamy expedition to the moon with their exceptionally unique sound.
“Take Me Home” is the first track, featuring ethereal pads and acoustic drums, graceful vocals, and deep lyrics, definitely the right way to start an EP.
It follows with “Silence”, a slow tempo and soft tune with a more compelling melody, at times melancholic, for sure the kind of song that can calm and reassure you after a bad day.
“Angels And Demons” is the third song, and with it, Moon and Aries will carry us to the exploration of the unknown with thrilling melodies and exquisite plucks.
“Paradise” as the name of the EP, is an enchanting production and that’s also our favorite track: an epic soundtrack that will easily get stuck in your mind with its beautiful vocals.
The ending track “Mercury” is probably the perfect way to end this EP and briefly summarise what we have listened to so far, featuring an enticing instrumental song that let us understand that sometimes we don’t need words to explain something, just let the music talk.
Georgia Hoareau – “GIRL”
Excited to share this young talented singer and songwriter from Gold Coast, Australia, with some releases already aired on the radio we are confident this artist is on the right path to hitting the billboards: welcoming here in this best selection for this month’s GEORGIA HOAREAU.
Her latest release “Girl” is an indie-pop tune that personally left us speechless with its marvelous production, quality of the mix, and creative arrangement, transmitting to our souls’ emotional vibes and vibrant moods. The song has a sound pretty much acoustic, featuring clean/electric guitars, deep basses and punchy drums, electronic keyboards, and, of course, the unreal voice of Georgia.
The song combines stunning vocal lines with sad/melancholic lyrics, singing about a recent break-up relationship the tune fully expresses itself in a perfect manner, transmitting to the listener a package of emotions that will keep us engaged throughout the song.
Incredible tune and we can’t wait to listen to some brand new stuff from her soon!
RED SKIES MOURNING – “Red Skies Mourning”
What does have Zedd, Skrillex, Steve Aoki and MOBY in common with Red Skies Mourning? before diving into the EDM realm they all played in a metal/hardcore band. there must be something inspiring in this extreme genre of rock that keeps all these musicians inspired and make them different from all the artists.
Indeed Red Skis Mourning, produced/multi-instrumentalist from Baltimore, US, was able to release an entire album (named Red Skies Mourning) in these difficult times that sounds extremely sound in each of his parts.
This extremely solid album has some rock roots that are pretty evident in the production. Anyway, this is still an incredibly catchy electronic album that blinks to the pop and rock genres while remaining incredibly consistent. Some of the tracks also take some inspiration from the latest Synthwave wave, especially synths and drums. Do yourself a favor and don’t skip this hidden gem.
MAJA KRISTINA – “Neighboorhood”
Neighborhood is the new single from pop artist Maja Kristina and that’s also her first single out in 2022. If you know just a little bit about music, you probably know that some of the best talents in the world reside in Sweden. Indeed, it comes as no surprise that Maja Kristina is indeed from Stockholm, Sweden.
Completely independent, she already had a couple of songs placed on the Netflix tv series The Bold Type and this new single proves her incredible potential.
Neighborhood is a single about breakup, at that point where you realized there is no way back. The lyrics hit hard, and it is pretty easy to feel in Maja’s shoes, when a relationship that’s now done, ruins the image one has about all the places they have been. So relatable, so melancholic, yet incredibly catchy.
If you are sick of listening to Driving License from Olivia Rodrigo, well that’s an amazing substitute by an artist that is still independent but eventually about to blow.

WOTTS – “6 Shooter”
WOTTS! A name, a talent. We were just waiting for them, I think everyone here was wondering when this moment would arrive. And here it comes, once again nailing all with this rework of the song from The Desert Island Big Band called “6 Shooter”.
This is Wott’s first collaboration with another artist and we can hear how they always manage to keep their sound without compromising someone else work and adding a unique “Wotts character” to something original, giving life to brand new stuff that can’t definitely go unnoticed.
This production gives some vintage retro vibes, with celestial pads and sparkling 80s keys, full of dreamy fxs the tune is capable of bringing you into another dimension, where everything is bright and you can clearly see a pristine and untarnished world.
Their take on the vocals was also incredible, for sure hours of production were spent behind this release.. impressive job from these guys.

HANNAH DORMAN – “Fire”
Time to open the dancefloor with an incredible artist and TikToker from Surrey, UK, with over 350k followers on TikTok we present you HANNAH DORMAN!
Hannah teamed up with Ivon Roberts and Sam Ray to give life to this incredible project, and together brought to life their latest single called “Fire”.
This tune is a real banger, a tropical house production that will definitely let you move all day long with its punchy drums and the summer-ish style melodies, with a very characteristic sound design and some incredible vocals flow: this is the perfect tune to enjoy any time of the day or night.
Hannah’s voice is incredibly warm and clean, she knows how to keep the listeners engaged, with powerful vocal lines and a unique character we are pretty sure that this artist will go quite far in the music industry.
We’ll definitely stay tuned for more!

FIFTH LUCKY DRAGON – “Mango”
It is impossible not to move your bum while listening to Fifth Lucky Dragon‘s single called Mango. This track is a perfect merge of the 80s sound and an indie rock extravaganza. Imagine the band Phoenix with Depeche Mode’s first album-era production.
This incredibly catchy project come from the mind of Louis Imperiale, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Indianapolis, United States. The music video, which you can find here, perfectly represents the mood of the song.
The eclectic production reminded us of early Twenty One Pilots releases, anyway, Fifth Luck Dragon has already an established and peculiar sound. The bright and clean guitars sound amazing next to the 80s vintage synths, creating an anthemic chorus reminiscing Wombats’ early days.
Let’s forget about everything we need to do right now and let’s jump on a trampoline while listening to this song of course.
OZZ GOLD – “Care For”
OZZ GOLD is finally back with another banger, and also this time he couldn’t disappoint us. I don’t think he needs any introduction, after being in many of our articles, we are glad he’s with us also in this best selection for this month! His latest tune “Care For” brings in some fresh breeze of summer, and that’s what we need right now!
This release has a style that at times reminded us a bit of KYGO with a completely brand new sound, and Ozz Gold proved us to be capable of delivering catchy melodies and remarkable tunes also with the use of the vocal chops.
We can hear some stunning vocals that accompany the verses, and the song that slowly builds up around them, leading to the powerful drops full of strong vibes and emotions that are typical of Ozz Gold, I’d say that’s definitely his signature.
If you haven’t listened to this artist before, we highly recommend doing so and getting yourself ready for your favorite summer festival with his music!

SIKA VALMÉ – “Mango”
Don’t worry, that’s not a mistake, that’s indeed the second song we review this month that’s called Mango. This time from Canadian-based artist Sika Valme, and that’s her second single ever being released.
Sika merges, with incredible mastery, sounds from electro-pop to the World Music genre, in a particular song that sounds ethnic yet extremely catchy. her Haitian origins have indeed played a pivotal role in the songwriting of this tune.
The mesmerizing drums, are in fact the ones you might expect from electronic tunes, however, the drum fills are very well arranged together with Sika’s vocal production which plays an important role in the mix.
Her vocals are manipulated in a very peculiar, it indeed sounds like an instrument on its own, immersed perfectly in the mix and accompanying smoothly all the synths. the tune is an immersive experience that merges different cultures in a tune that excites every second.
INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/sikavalme/
Alex Slay – “Marathon”
ALEX SLAY is a singer and songwriter based in Nashville, USA, and we can tell you this phenomenal artist doesn’t play around. His style is extremely remarkable and he definitely has the kind of sound that can quickly recall him just by listening to the first seconds of his songs. Alex released a few tracks over the past years, and his last single is in collaboration with the amazing singer CLOVER JAMEZ.
“Marathon” is the name of this release, an R&B tune that mainly focuses on the stunning vocals, but that also gives space to other elements: guitars, synths, drums, and bass are mixed to perfection making the tune sound tremendously clean, deep and sharp.
The song has a slow tempo, perfect to host the incredible flow of the vocals and the sick details of the elements playing in the track.
0% chances to dislike this one, rest assured. Enjoy this tune any time of the day, we already kicked off the evening next to the swimming pool pumping this one on our JBL speaker.
TORTURED SOUL – “Your Body Doesn’t Lie”
Directly from Brooklyn, United States, we are now going to present this incredibly catchy and soulful project name “Tortured Soul“. Born from the mind of John-Christian Urich, they just released a new single called Your Body Doesn’t Lie.
That’s probably the sexiest track we presented today. The groovy guitars and wind instruments set the right mood for a lounge room ready to drink a dry Martini with your girlfriend. Be aware tho, to listen carefully to the lyrics, there might be someone cockier than you trying to get your girl.
The song takes inspiration from the funny and sexy story of how John-Christian got to know his now-wife, and it might give the right energy and inspiration to go and try with that girl at the bar that looks pretty bored with the guy she’s talking with. Perfect summer vibes and charming as hell, Tortured Soul definitely got it right.
KEVIN WHITAKER – “Unpredictable Love”
Last but not least, we are going to introduce you to a fairly new artist called Kevin Whitaker. Kevin released a very energetic tune called Unpredictable Love not long ago. However, today we are presenting you the amazing Remix WLL did for it.
The remix keeps the fierce energy of the original, giving an interesting turn to Kevin’s vocals. This marriage between the more electronic-based instrumentals and Kevin’d gritty vocals, reminded us of the collaboration Rag N’ Bone Man and Calvin Harris had some years ago.
The result is an extremely catchy yet uplifting track that sounds perfect on a Happy Hour session along the shore and on a busy House Club night. The lead synth on the chorus reinforces the original melody in a peculiar way, making the song catchier yet keeping its rock core. Best of luck to these amazing artists.

This tune got stuck in our minds like no others: an emotionally driven upbeat track with a hint of retro thanks to the amazing sound of the guitars. Get ready to sit on the clouds, this tune will get you right there!
HERB BARCLAY – “FIND A BETTER DAY”
HERB BARCLAY is an incredible EDM music producer and DJ from Munich, Germany.
His latest track “Find A Better Day” brought us some fresh summer vibes, and that’s exactly what we need right now. The style of the tune reminded us a bit of Avicii with the addition of groovy and bouncy basses: the perfect combo!
This track features also amazing vocals that fit perfectly the sound design of the tune. The song gets very remarkable thanks to the high-quality recorded guitars, amazingly well written, and when combined with the other elements we just can’t get enough of it!
For sure the best song to listen to during a nice long drive trip!
FREQLOAD – “Be Mine”
When is time to open the dance floor, we can’t forget to name one of the most skilled artists to do so, we talking about FREQLOAD.
His latest release “Be Mine” is a sick dance tune driven by beautiful vocals and stunning sound design. We can feel the groove from the very beginning of the song with the deep house-style bass-pluck that opens the intro with remarkable melodies, leading then to explosive drops formed by acid basses, reverberated pluck leads, and astonishing vocalizations. Not to mention the quality of the mix, this is a 5 starts track, a must-listen for all the electronic music aficionados.

The single is called “California”, a tropical house tune that, like its title, will bring your mind to one of these stunning places in California, with clear skies and a summer breeze.
The song has some very remarkable melodies, with a clean and curated sound design featured by melodic kalimbas and afro percussions, going along with punchy drums and vibrant vocals.
Definitely the must-have tune to play on our portable speakers during a crazy day on the beach.

The tune has a real solid groove, with some mixed acid/slap bass combined with strummed guitars, vintage keyboard chords, and funky horns, incredibly mixed to perfection to let us hear every little detail.

FISHBURN is the project of Russ Harris, an amazing DJ, and producer based in Chicago, USA.
His latest single is called “The Other Side”, released just a few weeks ago along with some remixes from different artists.
This release is an electronic dance tune that shares a Christian message through the beautiful vocals of the female singer: with a happy and captivating mood, the song brings also back some of the 90s scenes in the drops, with groovy basslines and cheerful plucks.
The remix we liked the most was the one from “Late Night Lounge”, amazingly well done and reminding us of the sound of Hillsong Young & Free.. Perfect!

Maya Yenn – “How Much Sadness Can you Swallow?”
We already presented you Maya Yenn, in one of our past Space Discovery articles, which you can find by clicking here. And we do suggested you dive more into her project, since when we saw the music video for her song “How Much Sadness Can You Swallow”, we felt like we had to share this incredible production with the world, in this case with you Space Traveller, because this music video is out of this world.
We seriously don’t want to spoiler too much from the music video, as it’s full of surprised, we will just say that here you’ll find Maya in her fencing suit and sword running in the fields after noticing something utterly strange happening in the sky aaaand … just saw the music video now, we already said too much.
This electronic-infused track, completely produced by Maya, is full of ear candies that you will start to notice after many listenings. The song has so many production layers, so it is very hard to be bored by this tune even after 100 times that it’s on repeat on your Spotify.
Maddox Jones – “Ready To Be Better”
Singer-songwriter Maddox Jones just released his new tune called “Ready To Be Better”, an incredibly catchy song that will brighten your day. After collaborating with many artists Maddox started his solo career in 2020, receiving a lot of praise for his EP, Headspace.
Maddox is based in London, United Kingdom, and if you have been in London, you know the weather is a bummer, and it is really easy to feel down. But Maddox seems not to be really bothered by it, since his tune “Ready To Be Better” brings an extremely optimistic and uplifting theme.
The song perfectly merges elements from indie-pop and indie-rock, with polished sounds that stand out for their very well-curated production. A fresh poppy tune you should miss out.
Taylor B-W – “In Ur Net”
After listening to “In Ur Net”, from singer Taylor B-W, we stated that we decided to live in the wrong country. We miss the beach, we miss the sun, and we would love to take a flight to Australia, where Taylor is based, to enjoy this song fully, during a busy party on the Gold Coast with a long drink to sip.
This radio hit is everything you want to hear in summer 2020, an rnb/pop tune with a reggaeton beat and rhythm that will make your body move without you noticing. While it is very easy to make comparisons with singers like Dua Lipa, Taylor brings something new to the table. Her lyrics tell the story of a relationship that went too far, and once the character becomes aware of the situation, it is now too late, trapped in the net of a toxic relationship. Even though the tune might bring joy to your hips. it will also make you think and be more minded.
If you’re in Australia, Sydney, you’re a lucky man. Do us a favor, go listen to Taylor B-W, and offer her a long drink from us.
KØASH – “DOMINOES”
KØASH just released a fresh new track called “Dominoes”, with some of the catchiest melody lines we heard in an 80s inspired type of track.

WOTTS – “DOMINO”
Wotts is an indie-pop duo based in Ottawa, Canada that just brought to us a fresh 80s inspired tune called “Domino”. The tune has many influences, that would be diminishing to just define this song “indie-pop”.
The duo takes inspiration from music projects like M83 and Dayglow, producing tunes in their bedroom, they are able to create very solid dream-pop tracks.
The vocal and drums production also reminded us of some early die rock projects, reminiscing bands like The Strokes and The Killers. The 80s aura is omnipresent throughout the song, with a nostalgic feeling we extremely dig.

Elina Filice – “Dont Let Me Fall”
Elina Filice is a singer-songwriter based in Toronto, Canada, and her tune “Don’t Let Me Fall”, really got our attention for its top-notch production. The theme and lyrics draw the story of emotional fall, asking for help to surface from this dark downward spiral.
Although the lyrics might be dark at times, the arrangement is very uplifting merging different genre in a flawless production.
The track starts with a more trap-based instrumentation, evolving into a more electronic-inspired tune with a radio catchy melody that is still resonating in our heads after days . We wish all the best to Elina and we cannot wait to listen to some of her new productions.
Ben Dolic – “Kissing Her, Missing You”
With many millions of streams around his back, Ben Dolic delivered a great new pop track called “Kissing Her, I’m Missing You”.
A story that is really easy to relate to. The song talks about breaking up and then trying to find love using dating apps. We all already know that this might not be the best option to go over a breakup, but we try anyway.
The result is this amazing track though, and for this, we’re really happy, Ben already shared the stage with incredible artists like Zara Larsson, Rita Ora and Olly Murs, and we’re definitely waiting for him to tour in the UK, and listen to his amazingly catchy tunes.
Even though Ben Dolic releases pop-oriented tunes, he already established his own sound, easily noticeable, and we really dig his sound, inviting you to start following him as well.
Space Review: Maya Yenn – “How Much Sadness Can You Swallow?”
Welcome to Space!
Introducing today a musical genius, Maya Yenn: singer, songwriter, and producer based in the UK. This extremely talented girl just amazed us with her incredible skills.
From lyrics to production, photo editing end video directing, Maya manages her solo ambitious project flawlessly, dealing and organizing an enormous amount of creative work behind her songs.
She evidently took some inspiration from upbeat electro-pop sounds from artists like Glass Animals and Jungles, and influences from alt-R&B artists like FKA twigs and James Blake. Maya Yenn crafted her own style of dark-pop, with shades of contemporary R&B, often featuring lyrics that deals with themes such as anxiety and nightmares.
Her latest release, “How Much Can You Swallow?”, is a song that made us landing in a rollercoaster to hell and back, an immersive journey into a mysterious and sometimes dark realm. An experience that we suggest to embrace to all electro-pop aficionados, if you want to try something different and completely refreshing.
The song starts with Maya Yenn’s voice: soft, whisper-like tone, accompanied by the melancholic plucked synth that plays throughout the song. This creates an intense atmosphere that makes you alert: something bigger can happen at any time. The track opens up during the wide verse thanks to an electronic beat and a deep bass that surround your ears, with vocal harmonies that give the track a cinematic vibe. The quality of the production here is very clean, the elements in the track were chosen very thoughtfully and infuse to the song a subtle dark mood.
The drop comes immediately to your face with nuances of Trap and Bass music elements. A sense of tension that uplifts you and wakes you up is cleverly created by the progression of chord and the background fx elements, accompanied by an eclectic drum beat and deep bass. Production-wise, everything is perfectly blended together. Maya knows how to use her tools, compressions and wide reverbs, to create an experience you won’t forget easily.
A Beautiful journey that you can’t miss, listen to our playlist of the month Galactic Expedition, and you will encounter this amazing piece of art as well!
