This month we went a little too far from the sun. So don’t expect some warm happy tunes that celebrate how much summer is cool, well apart from a couple of exceptions, still that’s a tour around the universe. Anyway, the main theme of this Outer Space is definitely darker than you might expect from a best of the month article in the middle of June. And we are seriously okay with that, summer doesn’t exist in space, get your head around it.
However, we promise you that these month’s tunes will make your ass move, that’s for sure, there are some very energetic and uplifting tunes on this post.
Be ready, today’s trip is pretty savage and full of hurdles, and that’s how we like it.
Let’s begin our Outer Space journey.
iHateJON – “See No Evil”
Let’s welcome again a phenomenal artist that has landed here on Spacesour for the second time: iHateJON!
No need for introductions, this guy has already proven himself with his previous releases, and he’s finally back with a brand new one that left us speechless: we’re talking about “See No Evil” released just a month ago. This tune has an extremely chill vibe that will flip your mind with its melancholic beat, the incredible timbre of iHateJon, and the stunning flow of his vocal performance. Despite his young age, iHateJON is fully capable of sharing meaningful concepts and personal experiences about toxic relationships, giving the listener the chance to be entertained by the incredible musical arrangement, and get blown away by the clever lyricism and the way it gets transmitted: Definitely the right tune for good listeners and even more appreciated for people who shared similar experiences.
Another masterpiece from this artist, thanks for sharing your music with us!
Excited to introduce another incredible artist from Vienna, Austria, with over 20 years of experience as an artist, musician, and producer: we give a warm welcome in this Vol.5 to the amazing MUDDASHEEP!
His latest album called “Still Leben” is a masterpiece made in collaboration with other artists, making sure that the 14 tracks contained will bring you on a surreal journey. Since there are numerous artists that worked together with Muddasheep to give life to this stunning album, we can say that these songs would never get you bored, keeping your attention until the very last track.
“Take It To The Grave” and “Ascender” are the only 2 tracks without collaborations, even though the album follows a specific style line, we feel that these ones are definitely the heart of the album. Ascender caught most of our attention for its crazy sound design made of distorted lo-fi and punchy drums, melancholic and dreamy pads mixed with rhythmic ethereal plucks, all of this with a solid structure and upbeat rhythms that will definitely get stuck in your mind. The entire album is worth a listen from beginning to end, such an incredible masterpiece.
Let’s introduce a very versatile artist from Chicago, US, an independent producer that is able to merge different genres to create a unique sound that will bring you into outer space. We talking about CEYEO, a very fresh artist with just a total of 4 tracks released in the first part of 2022, and we can assure you that you’ll experience a stunning journey listening to his singles.
Ceyeo is used to combining rock with hip-pop and R&b, creating such masterpieces as “Broken” (if you haven’t heard before we suggest you listen to it now!); not the case for one of his latest tracks called “Trying”, a more intimate electronic/pop production r&b vocals infused that’ll give you chill vibes and dreamy moods.
The track features the stunning voice of Poetic Justis, definitely, the perfect voice for this kind of beat, and a carefully selected choice of sounds make this tune the perfect song to listen to when you need to put yourself into relaxation mode. A must-listen!
You might recognize Maijah from some of our past reviews and we are very happy that she put out this new amazing EP called “Star-Fairy”. It collects some of her past singles like “Sparkly” ” My Time” and “Autumn Vibes” together with three brand new tunes.
This release is extremely solid, showcasing Maijah‘s singing talent and versatility. From the first tune of the EP Maijah shows us that she knows how to flex in a “sparkly” and colorful way, always keeping her peculiar RnB style on tunes that vary from trap to electronic with some rock-inspiration on some parts, like on Autumn Vibes.
The sound design of the EP sometimes reminded us of Billie Eilish’s last album, both have a variety of sounds and genres and are incredibly well-curated producton. “Tightrope” is an amazing ballad that fits perfectly in the middle of the EP. In the same fashion My Time and Magnetize both sound great as the last tunes, both with an energizing and cathartic ending that made us love this release even more.
ANDREW NARVAEZ – “BETTER WITH MY FRIENDS” (feat. Crooked Hill & Charles Infamous)
Andrew Narvarez, singer-songwriter from New Jersey, with his positive guitar vibes just came back with his second single in 2022 called “Better With My Friends”. Andrew’s Narvarez style is very versatile jumping from RnB-style vocals to old-school rap.
The chorus is extremely catchy and perfectly conveys the sense of friendship and passing the time with the right people. Andrew’s vocals sometimes reminded us of Post Malone, anyway his style is very recognizible and this song he perfectly showcases his talent and singing skills.
Crooked Hills and Charles Infamous, which are featured in the song during the second and third verse, add some very solid variations to tune in a really consistent way. This track sounds amazing now during the beginning of June, especially if you’re listening with your friends.
Terrarri is a rapper from Jacksonville who just released his last tune “P U L L U P”. He seems to be pretty active this year, since that’s already his fifth release in 2022. Terrarri demonstrated to us that you don’t need to swear or diminish women to do a compelling trap song.
You can leave the guns at home and still feel extremely cool pumping up this song from your car. It might not be a Maserati, but you’d still look pretty damn rad if you turn up the volume during this song, even on a pieceashit car.
Terrarri‘s flow is flawless, the song goes smooth and the autotuned vocals perfectly fit with the instrumentals. The beat is extremely chill and energizing at the same time and Carnell’s feature on the second verse adds the right icing on the cake. Extremely solid trap tune.
Based in Phoenix, Forts is an alt-pop trio who just released the dark and reggae-inspired tune The Chemist. The first band that came to our mind while listening to this Alt-Pop Dark-Pop tune was “Crosses”, Chino Moreno’s side-project, and since they not really putting out that many records, it is extremely satisfying to listen to bands with a similar obscure sound.
Also the theme behind the song is pretty dark, yet cathartic in some way, as we see Mars, Forts’ singer, imaging herself as The Chemist and dealing with her chemical monster, the cause of all the depressive and stressful thoughts inside one’s mind.
The production and sound design are extremely well-curated sometimes reminiscing some of the latest productions from the band PVRIS.
Forts is a breath of fresh air in the music scene, and we are very excited to see where this band is going to head, wishing them all the best.
Let’s be honest, people always focus on the American rap scene, not really mentioning other places in the world. But let’s admit it, Canada does it great as well, and Jay Meadows, the Toronto-based rapper, definitely set the quality bar higher in the rap underground scene.
C’mon, there’s no just Drake in Canada, open up your ears and listen to Jay Meadows‘ last tune called “Steve Rogers”. The bass and subs hit hard on this one, and Jay Meadow’s flow is savage. His vocal style also reminded us of Mac Miller at times, but with a new and fresh twist.
Jay has proved to be very aware of his vocal range, singing a very catchy chorus, with a melody that even tho is more sung than rapped, keeps the tune dark and uplifting at the same time. You should take a look at this incredible new talent, he just started 5 years ago in the music industry but we know that he got a bright future in front of him.
RILAY is a new upcoming artist from Seoul, Korea, who just landed in the music industry with his first release showing us what he’s capable of. We know very little about this guy, and we crave to learn more about him and his releases.
“Testimony” is the debut single that surprised us all with its incredible style: a modern pop-rap track that blends a bit of old school, jazzy melodies, and funky grooves, with a sophisticated electronic sound design that makes this tune an impressive masterpiece and for sure a real pleasure for our ears.
The song features vintage keys, trumpets, and a clean set of drums and percussion that accompany the track in a very smooth way; sitting on top of all of this we have Rilay’s vocals that are definitely the icing on the cake.
Excited to see what this guy will come up with in the next months, can’t wait to hear more!
Summer is coming, you can feel it in the streets, as Childish Gambino would say. We are feeling it, and we bet you are feeling it too… come on, it’s in the air.
We cannot wait to dive into the Summer and participate in this busy Music Festival Schedule ahead. And that’s because we brought you all these incredible tunes this month, that will keep you company while trying to make yourself busy in this very painful wait.
“Every day gets hotter than the one before”, not here in the UK though. In our beloved cold and humid London weather (sigh) happens quite the contrary. But all these tunes that we are going to showcase today definitely moved us and warmed our bodies. It is not possible to stay still while listening to these songs Space Traveller, we warned you.
Let the journey to the moon begin.
Mini Sants – “Stay”
Mini Sants is a producer based in New York, who just released his new single “Stay” featuring Oli-J. Even though Mini Sants is based in a city that is cold most of the year, his last tune is incredibly warm and summery.
We can easily imagine ourselves near the beach during the sunset, with this song in the background. The vocal melody from Oli-J perfectly merges with the rest of the instrumentation, being co-protagonist together with the Future Bass synths.
The sound design is incredibly well-curated and gives also space to the very groovy drum kit used here. The trumpet that comes towards the end, really took us by surprise, but it fits perfectly with the sunny mood of the track. “Stay” conveys warm and positive vibes, and it’s the perfect tune to put on the radio while going to the beach
Atlanta-based Producer SØ and singer-songwriter Notifi, recently put out an incredibly catchy tune called “Involved”. We’re glad that the internet exists, otherwise, this beautiful collaboration would never happen, the duo meet indeed on the web, and then recorded and produced the track together in Miami.
This track was recorded last summer, and has indeed some nice warm vibes that make this tune easily a solid summer hit. The drum slightly reminisces a reggaeton rhythm, however, it keeps a smooth sound that doesn’t overwhelm the mix and gives a lot of space to Notifi’s vocals.
Notifi adds an RnB approach, with an outstanding performance that showcases his talent and his perfect control of the melody notes. The bass synth gives more depth to the song creating a sound design that steps more into the Synthwave genre. We loved this track fondly, and it’s going to accompany us during the summer as well, hoping that this incredible duo will collaborate again to some other tunes.
The festival season is near and Rombolini Matteo is extremely aware of that. His new tune called I AM ROMBO 2.0 has an incredibly well-curated sound design that stands perfectly in both Hardstyle and EDM genres.
Rombolini Matteo is originally from Livorno, Italy, but it sounds absolutely International, we can easily figure him next to other big names like Don Diablo, Headhunterz and Salvatore Ganacci. It won’t be a surprise for us to see him on the next Tomorrowland line-up.
Rombolini definitely knows how to keep his audience entertained, every drop sounds a little different and the build-ups and FX used in the track are perfectly crafted with in mind a jumping audience ready to smash everything. If you have the possibility to see Rombolini Matteo live, don’t absolutely miss this chance.
There’s Talk is a trio band formed in Oakland, California, and their dreamy and mesmerizing sound is at its best on their last single “Lightleak”.
“Lightleak” is an electronic-based song with some shoegaze vibes and effects that are less typical of the genre but that sound amazingly on Olivia Lee’s vocals. The reverbs and delay create a peaceful soundscape where multiple layers of vocals give a sense of distance and melancholy.
The melody is indeed very melancholic and nostalgic, emotions that are reinforced by Olivia’s lyrics, that with clever and poetic metaphors talk about the condition of being beaten down and slowly finding the light and a way to rise up again. Themes that a lot of people can relate to, that’s indeed an uplifting tune that all Dream Pop aficionados should not miss.
Joyeur is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles and she just released in the 25th of May her debut album “How to Love Yourself and Not Destroy Everything”, which we are also going to cover more in-depth in one of our Space Discoveries.
Her lead single for the album is “Underbelly”, an anthemic electro-pop track that has a music video also co-directed by Joyeur, which you can find here. The main theme of this song, which is also greatly portrayed by the music, is trying to expose yourself, and show who you really are. Under the clothes, inside our body, who are we?
In the music video, we see Joyeur constantly changing clothes, and the renounce on all of them exposing her true self. The track is extremely well produced with a drum kit that resembles some Nine Inch Nails instrumentals and a catchy melody that reminded us of works from Banks and Japanese Breakfast. Underbelly is a very solid lead single, anyway, we really suggest you listen to the whole album to understand Joyeur’s true nature and musical nuances.
We are incredibly excited to introduce in this Best Of The Moon THE RIVER, an incredible artist, singer, and songwriter based in Denver, US.
Her style is a blend of electronic/future pop and R&B, you can rest assured this is going to be your new favorite one!
“Tick Tock” is her latest release and we got blown away by the uniquity of the song, with a singular arrangement and spectacular vocals, quite impossible to dislike this tune.
The song features the typical wobbly synths of the future bass, mixed with acoustic instruments and accompanied by the rhythm of some very clean drums, all topped with enchanting vocals and encouraging lyrics.
Incredible track, we personally loved the sound design and the “chill vibes” this track can give, you definitely can’t miss out!
We’re excited to welcome once again to Spacesour this incredible artist that always leaves us speechless: TIM SCOTT, a phenomenal artist that previously caught our heart with his release “Escape To Paradise”. He’s finally back with his latest release “Roller Skating”, a powerful mix of “good vibes” electronic pop/dance, and a series of snappy guitar melodies.
This tune personally brought us to the moon with the impressive sound design, as we can listen at the beginning of the song to the incredibly clean and energetic drums, and the electronic synths playing emotional melodies.
The tune also brings a kind of funky vibe thanks to the rhythmic slap bass, amazingly blended with the drums: what can we say, this is absolute perfection!
Time to share a brand new artist, singer, and songwriter from Christchurch, New Zealand, we give a warm welcome to LOVETA! She caught our hearts with her first debut single called “More Than Fun”.

The song has an incredible musical arrangement made of acoustic instruments and mixed to give that retro sound to recall the 80s/90s, with an upbeat drum rhythm and a funky groove this is the kind of tune that will let you shake your head while listening!
Loveta’s vocals blend perfectly with the style of the song and give life to an incredible dance tune that we’d easily listen to on the radio or the top hits on Spotify!

The song will be able to bring you on a relaxation journey, clearing up your mind and letting you stop thinking about your problems, instantly putting you in a peaceful mindset. Don’t miss out!
After extensive experience working in a piano bar, Natalie Rogers just came back after 6 years of hiatus with an incredibly catchy pop track called “Full Body”. All this time gave her enough expertise to produce the entire song on her own.
Even though it is totally self-produced the tune is incredibly solid. The arrangement presents a funky bassline that perfectly merges with the other instruments and synths. The chords donate a soul/RnB feel to the song, the melody though is more pop-centered, and adds the right catchiness to the track.
The vocals and chords reminded us of early works from Frank Ocean, and while the production definitely reminisces Charlie Puth’s works. This electro-pop came out at the right time, just before summer started, a perfect soundtrack for a warm afternoon near the shore.
Based in the UK, London, this DJ and electronic producer will stay in our minds for a really long time. Coming to an epiphany after having been working on music every day for 70 days, Daverage J. Normal came to us with this savage Dark Wave tune called Incredulous.
Daverage’s work reminded us of Carpenter Brut at times, anyway Daverage J. Normal us an incredibly unique sound. Merging techno and retro wave elements, he created a vivid sound design full of instrumental layers where the protagonist is the immense bass synth sound.
Daverage J. Normal‘s music slaps you in the face harder than you think. Not even Will Smith will reach the magnitude of this song’s slapiness. Perfect tune for a dark techno club night, we can imagine ourselves walking in the club with our cocktail in our hand, feeling extremely cool.
Henry Aberson, a drummer based in Tulsa, just released this soul song called “Hang It Up”. The vocalist in this song is Nariah Taylor, an incredible singer that with her smooth and chill style brings a flawless performance to the track.
Her style and melody reminded us of Corrine Cailey Rae at times, but with a more soul-ish approach to the songwriting. On the piano, there’s the craft of Korey Keys, based in Los Angeles, that creates a soft layer of sound design that reminisces Ray Mankazarek’s songwriting with his smooth organ sound and virtuosity.
The drums, made by Henry Aberson, perfectly accompany all the instruments and vocal melody giving the right space to every pattern and riff. All the fills made by Henry Aberson, while they might be seen as minimal, are all well thought out and in line with this incredibly calming soul tune. Perfect song to hear during the evening while sipping a whiskey on the balcony, letting the bad thoughts wash away.
Ozz Gold is a DJ and producer based in Las Vegas, and with his last tune “Rest Of Me”, he’s already making us eager to go to a sunny electronic music festival this summer.
Ozz Gold sound is extremely solid, and this house tune proves how he can craft a perfect build-up with a chorus full of greatly designed synths. The catchiness of the arrangement and structure reminded us of Calvin Harris, even though when Calvin’s singing brings a baritone approach to the song, Ozz Gold’s vocals are definitely higher, tenor-like, which opens up the song even more.
The track merges perfectly elements from both progressive house and tropical house, with some uplifting tunes, typical of the EDM culture. This song will help you to be set free from your problems and finally move on, themes that most people will feel related to, and we would love to sing the chorus in a busy festival like ULTRA, just to name one…

Despite the calm and soft style of the vocals, the lyrics are quite strong and motivating, like the chorus says: “You’re a fighter, Gonna light ya, No hit and run let the rising sun, Light the cracks, Where the weak ones run”.
Overwhelming one, a great tune to start your day reminding us how strong we are!
Finally, spring has arrived, and so to space. Yep, spring exists in space as well dear Space Traveller. DoosC is a producer and composer from Luxemburg who just released his new electronic tune called Praha. For you who don’t know, Praha is the capital of the Czech Republic, a small city yet incredibly beautiful thanks to its colorful streets and architecture.
DoosC is able throughout the tune to tell a story through just the sound and different instruments. Praha is a journey that starts with a beggar playing his guitar in Praha and we follow his pat and evolution through the evolution of arrangement and sound of the tune.
Even though the tune starts with an acoustic guitar presenting it, Praha always remains a consistent electronic tune with a compelling bassline and kick that accompanies us on this journey. An incredible story that perfectly represents this beautiful journey and story.
Kenny Ward and Billie Ward are two brothers from US who started the alternative pop-duo project The Other Realm. They just released their last tune called All the Cute Boys Are Robots, a really catchy tune about the misadventures behind the choice of joining a dating app.
The tune is completely self-produced, but it keeps up with all the other huge pop productions out there. It is easy for us to imagine this song on the radio indeed. The electric guitar reggae-ish rhythm set the right mood for the tune, and the rest of the instrumentation, which gave us a nice 90s vibes feeling, adds to the tune a modern style that set the tune apart from other similar productions.
The lyrics tell us a funny story where everyone can feel like the main character, in these last years everyone’s been dragged in this new technological era where love is filtered by a smartphone, and we indeed feel the same frustration conveyrd by this tune. Anyway, this still remains a upbeat happy tune, which is great to recalibrate our mood and get us through the day.
In the beginning of April, Allie Alvarado released her EP Strong, and we were definitely thrilled by this 4-track release. Allie Alvarado is not new in the music industry, she played with Beth Ditto before the coronavirus spread and collaborated also with Alvin Risk for one of his tunes out with OWSLA (Skrillex record label).
The leading track of the EP is the one that gave the name to the release. Strong in an incredibly uplifting song, “The Heart goes strong the more you use it”. Inspirational lyrics that Allie sings throughout the chorus follow a catchy and alternative vocal chop sequence.
Syllables of Love and Feel The Earthquake are the core of the EP, where Allie shows her skills as an electronic producer, with an interesting sound design and arrangement building. Moments of You, definitely sound like the perfect tune to conclude this EP. It sounds like a “goodbye” but also like a “See You Soon”, and we hope more for the latter, the synths have sometimes a more vintage approach, with a melody that could reminisce some of the most melancholic Depeche Mode releases. Strong is an EP full of sound layers, a release you should listen to multiple times to capture its magnitude, like the one of an Earthquake.
Thank Tigs for exporting the UK underground music sound all over the world. Having passed half of my life in London working in UK Live music clubs or partying in them (of course before the coronavirus spread), it was pretty noticeable to me, and to everyone who’s done the same life, that the UK electronic scene it’s something on its own.
Tigs just released his tune Bad Like We, together with Peppery and Murder He Wrote, and now based in Melbourne in Australia, I’m extremely happy his sharing the UK underground sound abroad. The tune perfectly represents the rave scene, merging genre from Grime and Garage.
The vocals add a Jungle feeling to the tune that would sound amazing on a sound system in the streets of Brixton. Keep spreading the good music, and rave like crazy to this music.
Juracán is the musical project started by singer-songwriter Pierre Carbuccia, originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. We have been introduced to him thanks to his last single called Dame Todo, which perfectly merges two different but still specular musical worlds.
The idea behind this song is extremely intriguing, we first start listening to and RnB-inspired tune where we can appreciate Juracán vocal style and musical talent.
Here he’s singing in English and we can capture his emotions and struggles. In the middle of the track, everything steadily transforms and the song, while keeping his subtle dark layer, becomes a more audacious reggaeton-ish tune, not the one you could hear on some commercial club night, but in a more rave-ish kind of context, in the middle of a tropical island frequented only by natives that really know how to enjoy music.
Indeed here Pierre is singing in Spanish, still keeping his seductive charm, but this time with a more direct approach. An incredible tune that’s the perfect sample of this fresh and alternative project.
If you like the 80s and pets, this is going to be your favorite tune ever. Ryal, is a synth-pop duo based in New York City, and after Ryal singer’s pup Lambda passed away the duo decided to put out Best Friend, an 80s-inspired production to commemorate his life.
Grief is something you can feel not only for humans but also for your beloved puppy, which represents a huge part of so many people’s lives. The melancholic tune brings some of 80s staple sounds from the Prophet 5, Roland RS-09 and Moog Modular Arpeggio.
The bass synth, gives a more Synthwave vibe to the verse, with a dark lurking feeling that never sounds too overwhelming but works perfectly as the base for the introduction of the multiple ear-candy presents in the song.
We fell in love with this live rendition of Fears Of Letting Go from singer Evin. That’s probably one of the sexiest (saxiest as well) tunes we had the pleasure to listen to in 2022.
The tune starts with an incredibly immersive saxophone riff, and we are already immersed in an 80s kind of scenario, where everything is more charming and neon-like. Erin incredible vocal ability and expression are the perfect companions for this instrument.
The guitar and bassline add a more jazzy sometimed funky feeling to the tune and create the perfect base layer for the melody to shine.
Fears Of Letting Go is one of the singles off of Evin’s forthcoming EP “Good Morning World”, and we cannot wait to listen to the whole release.
Believe us, Larri Jae has the potential to be the next big thing in the RnB scene, proving his talented artistry on his EP Chapter 30.
His singing, while very peculiar and unique, sometimes reminisces the style of big artists like Chris Brown and The Weeknd. Anyway, Larri Jae, proved to have a very chameleonic style that perfectly fits every beat. And in Chapter 30 we have different kinds of moods, from the more Trap-ish “Sad Inc” to the more melodic Rnb tune “Alphabet Head”.
“Tell Me How”, is the more fast-paced tune in the EP, while still retaining his catchiness and showcasing Larri’s virtuosity.
This EP contains tracks produced by Grammy-Award winning producer Xcel and acclaimed producers PDub The Producer, so you’re an RnB aficionado, you’ll be overly satisfied by this release and its neat production.
EDM is not dead believe us. That’s one of the reasons this blog exists, and it is to remember people that there are still talented DJs, like TATE SEDAR, still thriving and making great music. TATE SEDAR, music producer based in Los Angeles, just released his tune Find A Way.
The tune is inspired by his own life and relationship with music. It is a hard task to make music part of your life, but as you can see also in his music video for the song here, this was always Tate’s mission number one.
Find A Way, takes the best from the electronic world, delivering a peculiar production that drags mainly inspiration from the broad EDM genre, but adds some subtle sounds and ear candies more typical in the dubstep and hardstyle genre.
By doing this Tate was able to create a unique style, that makes you bang your head from start to finish while staying extremely danceable.
Julient, is a singer and producer based in London, United Kingdom, and he just put out a new Dance-pop tune called “Calling For My Name”. That’s just his third single and the first one he is releasing in 2022. The tune talks about learning from our past mistakes and choosing the right path for our life.
That’s a hard and honest topic to bring up, but one where everyone could feel represented. The lyrics, melody and vocal style gave a melancholic vibe to the tune which is reinforced by the bass and synths sounds.
The synths and drum reminisce some 80s production, but the more obscure and uplifting tracks rather than the cheesy and superficials one. Indeed, doing a consistent Dance-Pop tune keeps his danceability but still gives you some food for thought, is a hard task, but Julient was able to deliver this flawlessly.
Tainted Youth is a fairly new electronic project formed by Ryan Hall & Kathleen Down. These two young lads are based in London, UK, and they just released their second tune for 2022 called “Feel The Way”.
The duo takes inspiration from the EDM of the last decade while adding their unique style and more rock approach. The electric guitar definitely gives the tune a great boost, and it is used intelligently throughout the tune.
We can also hear some dubstep influences, especially in the chorus, which is the most uplifting and energetic part, and yet also one of the most melodic and catchy parts of the song. Tainted Youth is definitely bringing back the electronic music in the Uk, and we cannot wait to hear some more tunes from them.
“Give It Up, yeah you Give It Up…” ehm sorry, I was still listening to Jamythyst‘s new tune called “Wild Baby”, and man the chorus really caught us off guard for his extreme catchiness, and 90s dance-pop extravaganza.
The tune starts with a more emo-trap approach, talking about Jamythyst’s breakup and bad relationship with solid production and beat. We definitely didn’t see the chorus coming and slap us in the face like that, but it works, oh god if it works.
The second chorus perfectly merges the 90s dance world and trap influences in the best way possible, and Jamythyst, which produced everything by herself, adds some new ear candies and synth sounds that keep our ears extremely entertained until the last note she sings. Wild…Wild song, Wild Baby, that’s indeed the perfect title for the song.
Space Travellers, today’s April fool’s, but we have no joke prepared I’m afraid. We always found this day kind of delusional to be honest. That’s why we’re gonna compensate your day with some TRUE fricking music gems you gonna love.
March was full of incredible releases and we couldn’t wait to put this out and show you our best picks. We’re going to introduce you to some fairly new projects and dive into pop, electronic and dance songs that are gonna brighten your days and make you forget about all the crazy jokes you’re about to read today.
Let the journey to the moon begin.
VJAY.mp3 – “Middle”
You all know how much we love good vibes here in Space.. We got for you the right artist to dive into another dimension: we welcome in this Best Of The Moon the amazing artist and producer VJAY.MP3. Very minimal art name, like his music, you won’t easily find around something similar to his sound.
Vjay.mp3 combines effortlessly electronic beats with beautiful melodies, ranging from Electropop, Lofi, Indiepop, and alt-rock.
“Middle” is the track we’ll include in this list, a song released a couple of months ago.
This tune got stuck in our minds like no others: an emotionally driven upbeat track with a hint of retro thanks to the amazing sound of the guitars. Get ready to sit on the clouds, this tune will get you right there!
HERB BARCLAY is an incredible EDM music producer and DJ from Munich, Germany.
His latest track “Find A Better Day” brought us some fresh summer vibes, and that’s exactly what we need right now. The style of the tune reminded us a bit of Avicii with the addition of groovy and bouncy basses: the perfect combo!
This track features also amazing vocals that fit perfectly the sound design of the tune. The song gets very remarkable thanks to the high-quality recorded guitars, amazingly well written, and when combined with the other elements we just can’t get enough of it!
For sure the best song to listen to during a nice long drive trip!
When is time to open the dance floor, we can’t forget to name one of the most skilled artists to do so, we talking about FREQLOAD.
His latest release “Be Mine” is a sick dance tune driven by beautiful vocals and stunning sound design. We can feel the groove from the very beginning of the song with the deep house-style bass-pluck that opens the intro with remarkable melodies, leading then to explosive drops formed by acid basses, reverberated pluck leads, and astonishing vocalizations. Not to mention the quality of the mix, this is a 5 starts track, a must-listen for all the electronic music aficionados.
We can get ready for this summer with the hottest release of GLOW BEETS, an EDM producer from Birmingham, UK.
The single is called “California”, a tropical house tune that, like its title, will bring your mind to one of these stunning places in California, with clear skies and a summer breeze.
The song has some very remarkable melodies, with a clean and curated sound design featured by melodic kalimbas and afro percussions, going along with punchy drums and vibrant vocals.
Definitely the must-have tune to play on our portable speakers during a crazy day on the beach.
Another incredible artist from the UK on this list: TASH HILLS. Bringing back some true 80s vibes, with her confident and fascinating voice, Tash’s latest release “Mirror Ball Dreams” is just phenomenal. The tune has a real solid groove, with some mixed acid/slap bass combined with strummed guitars, vintage keyboard chords, and funky horns, incredibly mixed to perfection to let us hear every little detail.
The electronic drum beat is neat, and the percussions playing in some parts of the song give the track a terrific funky touch, accompanying the vocal lines of Tash which are just magical.
This is a fabulous tune that will give you a lot of energic and positive vibes!
“Get Up” is the latest release of VINCRUX, an EDM producer from Nagpur, India. The tune is a minimal deep house track that features harmonic plucks and ethereal vocal samples, combined with a neat drum pattern and dreamy melodic arrangement.
An incredibly compelling artist that produces, mixes and masters all his tunes by himself, and we can definitely feel his skills through his music with detailed sound design, curated melodies, and interesting grooves. Vincrux is the perfect artist to listen to during a car trip or a chill evening, or at the gym, such versatile tunes are on spot for any occasion.
When we talk about style and quality productions, we can’t forget to mention PENELOPE PETTYGREW. This amazing artist, singer, and songwriter is a pure concentrate of energy and adrenaline, with an incredible voice character and a unique style like no others.
The latest release “Jelly” just caught us off-guard, with its mix of electronic pop and dance vibes, can’t deny it got us quite focused at our first listening.
Penelope’s voice is just out of this world: the incredible flow and the excellent vocal extension make this track incredibly versatile, we can hear in the track how the vocals vary from quiet melodic parts to some fast rap lines. This is definitely a rare talent ready to hit the Top 100 Billboard!
FISHBURN is the project of Russ Harris, an amazing DJ, and producer based in Chicago, USA.
His latest single is called “The Other Side”, released just a few weeks ago along with some remixes from different artists.
This release is an electronic dance tune that shares a Christian message through the beautiful vocals of the female singer: with a happy and captivating mood, the song brings also back some of the 90s scenes in the drops, with groovy basslines and cheerful plucks.
The remix we liked the most was the one from “Late Night Lounge”, amazingly well done and reminding us of the sound of Hillsong Young & Free.. Perfect!
Seaker is a music project started by singer-songwriter Kiran Hungin. She’s based n London, UK, and since she was young she had a direct connection to music thanks to his father.
Kiran just came out with a new single called Shadow, the first song she put out in 2022, planning to release many others along the way during this year.
Shadow is an emotional journey, a very intimate one. Kiran recorded everything in her room, bringing all the intimacy on record, creating an immersive rollercoaster of emotions that transports the listener into Kiran’s constantly thinking head, in this period of uncertainty. If you like melancholic tunes, that’s your cup of tea.
Jiva is an Israeli singer of Ukrainian origin, and perfectly blends her origins in her new tune called AHAVA. The song brings some dark vibes into a trap-style production implementing the track with some rave-type bits that your head-banging and wish you were listening to that on a giant sound system.
The melodies here vary from the eastern Europe tradition to the more oriental style. As Jiva suggests, you don’t really need to know the language to dive into the song and its meaning. Strong emotions flew over this song, and in this moment of hard times we wish the best Jiva’s family, and we celebrate love altogether gathering everything positive that life brings to us.
Jiva brought this trap and electronic-inspired tune with dark influences that you absolutely need to listen to and we also invite you to explore more her discography to understand her project even more.
We already presented you Maya Yenn, in one of our past Space Discovery articles, which you can find by clicking here. And we do suggested you dive more into her project, since when we saw the music video for her song “How Much Sadness Can You Swallow”, we felt like we had to share this incredible production with the world, in this case with you Space Traveller, because this music video is out of this world.
We seriously don’t want to spoiler too much from the music video, as it’s full of surprised, we will just say that here you’ll find Maya in her fencing suit and sword running in the fields after noticing something utterly strange happening in the sky aaaand … just saw the music video now, we already said too much.
This electronic-infused track, completely produced by Maya, is full of ear candies that you will start to notice after many listenings. The song has so many production layers, so it is very hard to be bored by this tune even after 100 times that it’s on repeat on your Spotify.
Singer-songwriter Maddox Jones just released his new tune called “Ready To Be Better”, an incredibly catchy song that will brighten your day. After collaborating with many artists Maddox started his solo career in 2020, receiving a lot of praise for his EP, Headspace.
Maddox is based in London, United Kingdom, and if you have been in London, you know the weather is a bummer, and it is really easy to feel down. But Maddox seems not to be really bothered by it, since his tune “Ready To Be Better” brings an extremely optimistic and uplifting theme.
The song perfectly merges elements from indie-pop and indie-rock, with polished sounds that stand out for their very well-curated production. A fresh poppy tune you should miss out.
After listening to “In Ur Net”, from singer Taylor B-W, we stated that we decided to live in the wrong country. We miss the beach, we miss the sun, and we would love to take a flight to Australia, where Taylor is based, to enjoy this song fully, during a busy party on the Gold Coast with a long drink to sip.
This radio hit is everything you want to hear in summer 2020, an rnb/pop tune with a reggaeton beat and rhythm that will make your body move without you noticing. While it is very easy to make comparisons with singers like Dua Lipa, Taylor brings something new to the table. Her lyrics tell the story of a relationship that went too far, and once the character becomes aware of the situation, it is now too late, trapped in the net of a toxic relationship. Even though the tune might bring joy to your hips. it will also make you think and be more minded.
If you’re in Australia, Sydney, you’re a lucky man. Do us a favor, go listen to Taylor B-W, and offer her a long drink from us.
KØASH just released a fresh new track called “Dominoes”, with some of the catchiest melody lines we heard in an 80s inspired type of track.
KØASH shows his incredible songwriting, perfectly merging elements from pop, afro-beat and dance with an 80s-infused production.
Now living in Cardiff, in the United Kingdom, KØASH has Arabic and Welsh origins, and he definitely stands out in the pop UK scene bringing some peculiar elements that already distinguish him from the other pop artists in the music scene.
Wotts is an indie-pop duo based in Ottawa, Canada that just brought to us a fresh 80s inspired tune called “Domino”.The tune has many influences, that would be diminishing to just define this song “indie-pop”.
The duo takes inspiration from music projects like M83 and Dayglow, producing tunes in their bedroom, they are able to create very solid dream-pop tracks.
The vocal and drums production also reminded us of some early die rock projects, reminiscing bands like The Strokes and The Killers. The 80s aura is omnipresent throughout the song, with a nostalgic feeling we extremely dig.
Elina Filice is a singer-songwriter based in Toronto, Canada, and her tune “Don’t Let Me Fall”, really got our attention for its top-notch production. The theme and lyrics draw the story of emotional fall, asking for help to surface from this dark downward spiral.
Although the lyrics might be dark at times, the arrangement is very uplifting merging different genre in a flawless production.
The track starts with a more trap-based instrumentation, evolving into a more electronic-inspired tune with a radio catchy melody that is still resonating in our heads after days . We wish all the best to Elina and we cannot wait to listen to some of her new productions.
With many millions of streams around his back, Ben Dolic delivered a great new pop track called “Kissing Her, I’m Missing You”.
A story that is really easy to relate to. The song talks about breaking up and then trying to find love using dating apps. We all already know that this might not be the best option to go over a breakup, but we try anyway.
The result is this amazing track though, and for this, we’re really happy, Ben already shared the stage with incredible artists like Zara Larsson, Rita Ora and Olly Murs, and we’re definitely waiting for him to tour in the UK, and listen to his amazingly catchy tunes.
Even though Ben Dolic releases pop-oriented tunes, he already established his own sound, easily noticeable, and we really dig his sound, inviting you to start following him as well.
Dear Space Travellers, this has been a February full of surprises. We discovered many new artists and listened to new tracks of some artists we already introduced you in the past articles, which continue to deliver some nice bangers.
This Best Of The Moon, stays eclectic like the others, and every artist on this list has a particular and solid theme, which makes them all shine by their own light.
Today’s musicians are making your headbang or singalong to their tunes very easily, from electro-pop to indie, to EDM and electronica, we got you covered.
Here there are our favourite releases from February:
WAITWHAT – “SO HARD TO LOVE”
Wait…what? WAITWHAT are back with a new banger? We are incredibly stoked by this new release called “So Hard To Love”. If you’re not familiar with this dynamic duo, we already covered them in one of our past articles that you can find here.
We fell in love with this incredible Future Bass-inspired track quite easily. “So Hard To Love” features a stunning guitar line played by RySHi, and also the amazing vocals of ABBY SEV.
This is an emotional tune extremely well-produced, from the transitions and the sound design to the melodies and the structure of the song, reminding the style of Jason Ross and Illenium, this is a must-listen for all electronic music lovers. We’re already great fans of their work, and they started 2022 with the right foot, making this month worthwhile. Don’t miss this tune out!
Time to present an extremely fresh singer and songwriter, unique in his genre: BLAKE WISNER.
His latest release is called “Moodlighting”, it’s the second track since he started the project. The tune is in collaboration with HUBSTCY, which produced the track.
We understand the skills of these 2 artists from the very beginning of the song, where a synth pad plays some “jazzy/blues” chords and the amazing voice of Blake enters the tune in falsetto: we already know this is going to be sick.
After the first intense minute, the track brings in the groove with an incredible sound design and the fascinating vocals of Blake. Surreal tune, incredible production, must listen.
LAHIS is an amazing artist, singer and songwriter from Tel Aviv, Israel. She has a massive experience, releasing her first project back in 2012.
She moved to Berlin later on, after touring around Europe Lahis teamed up with the producer ASSI SENDER, releasing their first single together in 2019. Their latest release is called “Cool Tees”: a melancholic production with incredibly groovy elements and ambient sounds.
This combination of sounds is something unique; Lahis’s voice will cradle your soul but won’t let you sleep, instead, will keep you awake with the amazing beat full of details. Get ready for a marvelous journey that you won’t forget.
Based in New York City, OLIVIA CASTRIOTA is a singer and songwriter with loads of experience, with more than 15 releases in these past few years.
Olivia is a pop vocalist that crafted her sound adding to her style a bit of soul, and mixing it with electronic music: the result is absolutely fantastic.
The latest release is called “Nightmare” produced by KITTYGUN. The tune is decisive, aggressive and curious. Olivia’s voice is extremely versatile, especially on this kind of beat where she combines strong and powerful vocal lines to very delicate and intimate ones, blending perfectly with the beat’s arrangement. Incredible talent!
As big fans of festivals, we felt obligated to include in this list a lit banger: we talking about KING KISMET, a young producer and DJ from Chandler, US.
This incredible lad just released his latest EP called “Manifest”, made of 2 dubstep tracks. This is some insane stuff that features an extremely curated sound design, with the attention to detail to a pro standard.
Manifest is also the name of one of the tracks, which is included in our Best Of The Moon playlist: a song with a strong energy that will literally tear you apart with its electric growls, sharp lazers and fxs. Extremely good to pump you up for the next festival!!
Time to open the dance floor with another incredible artist: BTAV.
EDM producer from Baltimore, US, Brandon Tavernier brings up some real fresh vibes with his energic productions, now focusing on house music with this solo project.
His first track was released a couple of weeks ago, called “Love Follows”.
Bouncy groove, electric chords, and melodic plucks are combined together to give life to a melodic banger that we’d definitely like to hear on some big stages.. EDC Vegas maybe?
Incredible first release of BTAV, waiting for more banger tracks!
Am3r3 is a music producer from Canada, Toronto. He’s a synthesizer affectionate after he found toy keyboards at a garage sale. This passion also comes after listening to the album Graduation by Kanye West.
Am3r3 is a solo project, with an extremely unique style: focus and detail on the sound design on chill beats and dreamy atmospheres.
His latest release is called “Jaded”, a tune that will guide you on a late-night trip, opening your mind to different realities and letting you think, and think, and think… Suddenly realize that you spent hours in loop mode: a must for our Best Of The Moon picks.
YES!! We are indeed in Space, guessing from the cover art of the incredible single Another from singer-songwriter Calista Del Toro. This tune has an incredible production that creates a really peculiar sound and genre that stands between pop, rock, electronic, and freaking space.
Calista is already a rockstar, even though you didn’t know it. She played in the venues in Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Which it’s something me and you Space Traveller can only dream of. But she deserves it! Working with incredibly talented producers including a Grammy-winning one, Calista, even though she’s fairly young, is already establishing her presence in the scene with an incredible sound that’s already her own.
All the best to Calista, and we hope to see her live here in London very soon. And you shouldn’t miss it as well.
Here’s the last single from Alan Elettronico called Upstairs at Andrew’s. His fictional surname Elettronico means Electric in Italian, and we can definitely perceive his electricity and vibrancy through this incredible Synthwave tune.
We listened multiple times to this incredibly well-produced electronic tune, and its only flaw is that it’s too short. I mean that’s probably a fair length, it’s just us that we are too greedy for Synthwave tunes. Since it is really hard to listen to a great instrumental Synthwave tune nowadays, we are so enthusiastic about this release.
The sound design, drum production and arrangement structure make this single incredibly good and a must-listen for Synthwave aficionados. We can definitely wait to hear more from Alan Elettriconico. We are indeed electrified by his music.
Bri Fletcher knows how to craft a pop-country tune with ease, and she demonstrates this with her last single Astronaut. An incredibly catchy tune, that brings up our nostalgia for the 90s. As the music video shows, that’s indeed an anthem to youth, and we definitely felt that, finding ourselves in her shoes.
Bri is receiving a lot of love from Spotify and especially from Nashville and country-based playlists. With her clever arrangement, she merges elements of country, like the use of banjo, with pop melodies that get easily stuck in your head.
Bri has definitely a bright career in front of her, and we can easily picture her in a stadium in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
Hunter Reece is a badass dude, and Hot Glue is a badass tune. his last single showcases his songwriting skills and ability to grab the best elements from different genres.
Hot Glue has an extremely catchy melody, which it’s sustained by a pop-punk style guitar that infuses a tight rhythm throughout the song. Hunter declares on his Spotify bio “i write songs that get stuck in your head.” and we agree with this. taking the catchiest elements from trap instrumentals and using the right fx at the right time, Hunter brings up a tune that is everything but mundane while keeping the quality of a pop song.
We wish Hunter all the best and we cannot wait to hear some new tunes from him, loving his songwriting so much.
Home is not just a physical place. It can be also a state of mind. That’s the simple concept where the first single from Mars starts. but from here, it doesn’t accompany you in a “Home Sweet Home” kind of state, but rather in an homesick journey where nothing is how it seems.
“Home” is a dark pop tune that shows Mars maturity and ability to write a compelling pop tune with profound lyrics. With this song, she’s searching for an audience that is not satisfied but just a good melody but rather liked to dive deep into human emotion and drown in nostalgia. We definitely loved swimming in this sea of melancholy, and we invite you to jump right in as well.
Enoka, takes us back in time with her 80s inspired tune called More Than Friends. The Swedish pop Queen sings on this incredibly catchy tune with an extroversive RnB melody.
The sound design and solid production behind the track use different elements to bring that 80s atmosphere which blends perfectly with Enoka’s peculiar and distinct vocal style.
The lyrics and theme of “More Than Friends” are very relatable, and we can easily see ourselves in the same situation. I mean we’ve been there are as well, and so probably you, don’t deny it, and you will appreciate this tune even more.
Australian singer, Michael Butera, brought an incredibly uplifting tune called On My Way, which definitely cheered us up during this rainy February here in London.
This single is extremely catchy and will immediately change you mood and inspire you deeply, in doing things better and don’t be too hard on yourself.
We are all on the right path, that much is certain, and we absolutely need a great singer like Michael to remind us about how life can be discouraging but at the same time, it is all about just keeping going and keeping your head up high.
