Madebit’s latest album An Alien Among Us really takes us on a sonorous journey and exploration of the relationship between inner and outer space. This is probably the most dynamic, eclectic album I’ve listened to this year, and Nashville-based singer and producer Madelyn Reyes, aka Madebit, truly is one of the greatest artists we’ve discovered so far.
The creative question that gave origin to this album is how to take the feelings of being an outsider and turn them into ways you can connect with other people. Blending pop, indie, electronic and world music, Madebit experimented with sonic as well as human identity. This album offers a sort of synesthetic experience in which we can see and touch the music we’re listening to as it travels through space and time the same way our soul does, acquiring different characters and new shades as it goes.
As if experimenting with herself in an attempt to figure out what fits her as an individual and where and how she fits among the others, Madebit played with multifaceted and avant-garde sounds and melodies, achieving an outcome that doesn’t give her a fixed identity but rather it defines her kaleidoscopic character.
The 12-track album opens with Space, a spacey melody of synths and dreamy vocals with a poetical indie flavour that sucks you in to take you on a trip of multi-coloured sounds and stories, where you’ll probably figure out how fluid yourself and the rest are, and that’s where you’ll find the connection button.
Madebit is indeed a master of musical tension between dreamy pop and darker hypnotic sounds. Sandy Beaches is like a galactic travel through a tunnel, with acid synths and a rhythmic refrain which makes it very hooky. Moon Dance has a sort of an electronically ritualistic vibe to it, while Bring It Out travels more towards the pop dimension, with an exotic flavour given by the percussions and high-pitched synths.
Intermission has an epic sound instead, like that of a medieval ballad, while the pitchy sounds and continuous hum that slides through the notes of An Ode To Those Who Lead But Do Not Follow are guaranteed to keep you enthralled. A Sound Is Born sums up the essence of the whole album, starting with glossy synths and ending with more of a cavernous sound.
Ultimately, An Alien Among Us examines a range of moods and emotions and is a perfect fusion between introspection and creative exploration of the outside world, successfully combining dynamism and cohesion and showcasing Madebit’s incredible talent.

This track really got us unprepared. We didn’t expect such a great and compelling vocal performance from this project. Directly from London, ANDRÆ just released the single 2D. It is a song hard to label, because of its peculiar instrumentation paired with a soul and RnB-inspired vocal performance. We listened to this tune in awe, and we were not prepared for the ending. This leftfield-infused is the perfect introduction to this musical genius.
Bryanna Rain has a new EP under her belt, and if you’re a progressive house fan you absolutely need to give this a go. The release is called LAVENDERWAX EP, and even though we defined this as a progressive house release, there’s a lot more to unveil. The vocals are extremely soulful, and sometimes seem to take inspiration from some electro-funk track from the early 200os. A very colorful electronic EP, that we suggest you listen to as the perfect ending for this summer.
Darren Cox is a talented singer from Barcelona, one of our favorite cities in Europe. He recently released his latest tune called Nighttime, a passionate pop and RnB-infused track with a Latin Pop rhythm at its core. We found this song as the perfect track for describing the nighttime. Mysterious, sexy, and undeniably charming. We are extremely curious to see what Darren Cox will put out next, but in the meantime, you already have this incredible tune on repeat.
We thought that this was the perfect track to conclude this Hyperspace edition. From our introduction, you already know that we are missing the summer. We know it is not finished yet, but this tune from Dan Van Daan called I Miss The Summer is definitely spot on. An incredibly catchy pop tune that perfectly describes our mood, or probably yours as well. We miss the hot, we miss the beach the cocktails and the parties, but this song understands us, and we feel less alone now.

Marc Allen realized a hidden gem called Eveningsong that we think everyone should listen to. This release has some charming and very soothing vocals accompanied by a piano that has a very dreamy production and sound design. Overall the release is very uplifting and you can hear through the production that all the emotion and expression is audaciously conveyed by Marc’s performance. A chill yet cinematic piece of art you should absolutely enjoy.
We love EDM music, that is pretty obvious now, but this track is special. K-Syran has recently released her tune Sunny, a very positive and catchy electronic tune that has some 70s and 80s vibes that we really dig. Also, the remix made by Neon Wolf, is extremely well done. This last one enhances the groove and funky vibes of the track. Listened in tandem these two versions are incredibly impactful, the perfect summer soundtrack.
Now, let’s travel to Paris to meet with this emerging and talented artist. He’s called Dylan Chapel and his latest tune is called Sweet. This track is definitely our jam, it has some early 2000s vibes that we really dig. Dylan’s voice and melody construction reminded us of some early Craig David works. We also loved the part sung in French which makes the song even more memorable. The song has a very well-curated instrumentation that fits perfectly with Dylan’s vocals. Incredibly SWEET song, no pun intended.
Pop tunes are really a hard task nowadays, but thank god there are artists like Class Vee who are still able to surprise us. Her last tune is called Wierdos, and her vocals are really flawless. A catchy yet articulate melody showcases Class Vee’s talent, and the instrumentation is wisely produced in order to give enough space for Class Vee interpretation to shine. A pop tune with some trap and RnB influences that will get stuck in your head for days.
Let’s fly to Portland for this next one. The Numb Project just released the tune Busted, and we loved the rhythm and grove of the track. While minimal at times, the instrumentation is extremely well-studied, with some very interesting ear candies and spatial synths. The sound design makes this trip-hop-inspired track very special, the chopped vocals add that needed humanity to the song, making the single shine. Definitely one of our favorite trip-hop tracks right now.

He comes from Canada and goes by the name Tabuu. his latest tune is called Questions, and we loved the flow and vocal style of Tabuu on this beat. The instrumental is very chill, and Tabuu is ale to make the track also extremely uplifting. His style is unique, and it is undeniable that he really distinguish himself from all the other rappers in the scene.
For this tune, we are flying to the United States, and meeting with the skilled producer Gianfranco Pescetti. With his tune Stopless, he was able to showcase all his production talent. The track is full of elements that range from Deep House, to electronic and chillstep. The track has an extensive range of instruments, and ear candies that we absolutely didn’t expect. A track full of surprises that will accompany you on an ethereal journey.
Liliana Ferreira surprised us with her latest track Changing Faces. The track has a very uplifting theme, and the vocals perfectly convey the lyrics that Liliana has written. It is very rare to find a piano-driven tune that has such a solid production, and that it’s able to deliver an exceptional and unique experience. The violins add a dramatic vibe that really gets you to the core. If you want to listen to a cinematic piano track, that’s gonna be your next jam.

The first we are going to present to you today is a remix of the song Rip Tides by Mira Sthira. The remix was done by Mikheil, and we loved the sound design this incredible producer created. The song is extremely audacious with some of the most thrilling synths we heard in ages. The track has a very solid performance by Mira, with a very interesting and compelling vocal production that will give you goosebumps.
Let’s now fly to Canada for this next one. We are now meeting with Cause Allure which just released the track “Dreamzzz”. We loved the dreamy vibes of this track. The vocals are very chill and soothing and the instrumentation has that lo-fi beat inspiration that we love fondly. The track is full of very interesting ear candies which makes the song always entertaining. The wind instruments and bassline are very groovy and also make the song very danceable other than overly enjoyable.
It’s time to present you the outstanding singer/songwriter Natalie Clark and her latest release “Mission”! Teaming up with producer Todd Spadafore in Los Angeles, Natalie crafts a commanding musical experience, aiming to create a tough and strong atmosphere that perfectly complements the empowering lyrics. What we found in our hand this week, was an incredible EP from Slectric called Bliss and we needed to share this hidden gem with you. So we fell in love first with the name of this artist, Fallen Astronaut, and then with the album he just released which is called “FA-2: A Labyrinth Made Of Labyrinths”.In this intriguing release, Fallen Astronaut creates some compelling soundscapes. The genre is mainly electronic and synthwave, with some ambient elements that we really dig. Wonderful release.
Christina Winterfell comes from a country that did the most compelling and beautiful pop music in the world. We are talking about Sweden of course. And her last tune called You’ll Be My Baby, is an extremely catchy pop tune. The instrumentation has some electronic elements and rhythm that resemble the 90s early 2000s electronic production, some of our personal favorites. This electro-pop track, is gonna be loved by fan of Kylie Minogue for sure.
Amy Jaime was able to create an indie pop track that sounds very intimate and vulnerable yet pretty uplifting. Her track Climb, is an RnB-inspired tune, with some interesting vocal lines and minimal instrumentation that conveys volumes of emotion. It’s not easy to write a simple song that gives such beautiful vibes, and Amy was also able to showcase her vocal talent on that. Perfect tune to listen in a lonely evening.

Sophro is an incredibly talented artist based in Manchester and her last single “Emerald green” is a pure gem. In all senses. The track starts with some choirs that will be the main layer throughout the song, but this then evolves into a more sophisticated and complex electronic tune. That blinks at other incredible projects including ones from Bjork, Massive Attack and Four Tet. We listened to this in awe, wondering how she could create such a wonderful track. Experimental yet very catchy.
