The track starts with a melancholic intro and verse, where Gabriel’s vocals lead the song with a soft timbre and emotional lyrics. The song gets real groovy during the chorus, where upbeat drums join the party with a slap-up bass giving the track an amazing dynamic, also thanks to the impressive work done on the vocals, choirs, and harmonization. Everything is mixed to a high-quality standard, and we can tell you that the more you’ll listen to this track, the more you’ll get addicted to it!

Kaeley’s voice can go from soft and calm to very strong and powerful: a magnificent talent that can’t really go unnoticed. Her vocal performances have the ability to hit right in the middle of your heart, combined with compelling and gifted lyrics, this artist is definitely the one you’d listen to while you having a “not so great” day.

Her latest release “Giving Me” is her first release of this 2022: a future pop production with R&B and soulful notes, with amazing vocal lines that will give you goosebumps.
The tune starts with a great nostalgic intro made of some reversed piano chords, along filtered vocal lines that a mellow effect. The verse opens up with a clean drum beat and reversed chord sounds; Serena here is able to give the song that melancholic/sorrowful mood with her astonishing timbre and her ability to reach unbelievable high notes.

Benji Matthews – “The Love Song Anthem”
Benji Matthew recently released his first tune of 2022 called The Love Song Anthem, and this comes after his album Timeless, which was released in 2021.
Benji is expanding his production and sound range, always keeping his pop attitude, and we are definitely digging his evolution in the Synth Pop genre.
You might have recognized Benji from one of his viral videos from X-Factor UK 2017, in case you didn’t go check him out here. Benji has an incredible dragging energy, which is extremely evident in his last single The Love Song Anthem, a tune that will sound amazingly on your car radio while heading to the beach. We cannot wait to see what other stuff has Benj ready for the rest of 2022 until then we still have this incredible tune on repeat.

Doosc – “Praha”
DoosC is a producer and composer from Luxemburg who just released his new electronic tune called Praha. For you who don’t know, Praha is the capital of the Czech Republic, a small city yet incredibly beautiful thanks to its colorful streets and architecture.
DoosC is able throughout the tune to tell a story through just the sound and different instruments. Praha is a journey that starts with a beggar playing his guitar in Praha and we follow his pat and evolution through the evolution of arrangement and sound of the tune.
Even though the tune starts with an acoustic guitar presenting it, Praha always remains a consistent electronic tune with a compelling bassline and kick that accompanies us on this journey. An incredible story that perfectly represents this beautiful journey and story.

The Other Realm – “All The Cute Boys Are Robot”
Kenny Ward and Billie Ward are two brothers from US who started the alternative pop-duo project The Other Realm. They just released their last tune called All the Cute Boys Are Robots, a really catchy tune about the misadventures behind the choice of joining a dating app.
The tune is completely self-produced, but it keeps up with all the other huge pop productions out there. It is easy for us to imagine this song on the radio indeed. The electric guitar reggae-ish rhythm set the right mood for the tune, and the rest of the instrumentation, which gave us a nice 90s vibes feeling, adds to the tune a modern style that set the tune apart from other similar productions.
The lyrics tell us a funny story where everyone can feel like the main character, in these last years everyone’s been dragged in this new technological era where love is filtered by a smartphone, and we indeed feel the same frustration conveyrd by this tune. Anyway, this still remains a upbeat happy tune, which is great to recalibrate our mood and get us through the day.

Allie Alvarado – “Strong”
In the beginning of April, Allie Alvarado released her EP Strong, and we were definitely thrilled by this 4-track release. Allie Alvarado is not new in the music industry, she played with Beth Ditto before the coronavirus spread and collaborated also with Alvin Risk for one of his tunes out with OWSLA (Skrillex record label).
The leading track of the EP is the one that gave the name to the release. Strong in an incredibly uplifting song, “The Heart goes strong the more you use it”. Inspirational lyrics that Allie sings throughout the chorus follow a catchy and alternative vocal chop sequence.
Syllables of Love and Feel The Earthquake are the core of the EP, where Allie shows her skills as an electronic producer, with an interesting sound design and arrangement building. Moments of You, definitely sound like the perfect tune to conclude this EP. It sounds like a “goodbye” but also like a “See You Soon”, and we hope more for the latter, the synths have sometimes a more vintage approach, with a melody that could reminisce some of the most melancholic Depeche Mode releases. Strong is an EP full of sound layers, a release you should listen to multiple times to capture its magnitude, like the one of an Earthquake.
Tigs – “Bad Like We”
Thank Tigs for exporting the UK underground music sound all over the world. Having passed half of my life in London working in UK Live music clubs or partying in them (of course before the coronavirus spread), it was pretty noticeable to me, and to everyone who’s done the same life, that the UK electronic scene it’s something on its own.
Tigs just released his tune Bad Like We, together with Peppery and Murder He Wrote, and now based in Melbourne in Australia, I’m extremely happy his sharing the UK underground sound abroad. The tune perfectly represents the rave scene, merging genre from Grime and Garage.
The vocals add a Jungle feeling to the tune that would sound amazing on a sound system in the streets of Brixton. Keep spreading the good music, and rave like crazy to this music.

juracán – “Dame Todo”
Juracán is the musical project started by singer-songwriter Pierre Carbuccia, originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. We have been introduced to him thanks to his last single called Dame Todo, which perfectly merges two different but still specular musical worlds.
The idea behind this song is extremely intriguing, we first start listening to and RnB-inspired tune where we can appreciate Juracán vocal style and musical talent.
Here he’s singing in English and we can capture his emotions and struggles. In the middle of the track, everything steadily transforms and the song, while keeping his subtle dark layer, becomes a more audacious reggaeton-ish tune, not the one you could hear on some commercial club night, but in a more rave-ish kind of context, in the middle of a tropical island frequented only by natives that really know how to enjoy music.
Indeed here Pierre is singing in Spanish, still keeping his seductive charm, but this time with a more direct approach. An incredible tune that’s the perfect sample of this fresh and alternative project.

Ryal – “Best Friends”
If you like the 80s and pets, this is going to be your favorite tune ever. Ryal, is a synth-pop duo based in New York City, and after Ryal singer’s pup Lambda passed away the duo decided to put out Best Friend, an 80s-inspired production to commemorate his life.
Grief is something you can feel not only for humans but also for your beloved puppy, which represents a huge part of so many people’s lives. The melancholic tune brings some of 80s staple sounds from the Prophet 5, Roland RS-09 and Moog Modular Arpeggio.
The bass synth, gives a more Synthwave vibe to the verse, with a dark lurking feeling that never sounds too overwhelming but works perfectly as the base for the introduction of the multiple ear-candy presents in the song.

Evin – ”Fear Of Letting Go” (Live)
We fell in love with this live rendition of Fears Of Letting Go from singer Evin. That’s probably one of the sexiest (saxiest as well) tunes we had the pleasure to listen to in 2022.
The tune starts with an incredibly immersive saxophone riff, and we are already immersed in an 80s kind of scenario, where everything is more charming and neon-like. Erin incredible vocal ability and expression are the perfect companions for this instrument.
The guitar and bassline add a more jazzy sometimed funky feeling to the tune and create the perfect base layer for the melody to shine.
Fears Of Letting Go is one of the singles off of Evin’s forthcoming EP “Good Morning World”, and we cannot wait to listen to the whole release.
Larri Jae – “Alphabet Head”
Believe us, Larri Jae has the potential to be the next big thing in the RnB scene, proving his talented artistry on his EP Chapter 30.
His singing, while very peculiar and unique, sometimes reminisces the style of big artists like Chris Brown and The Weeknd. Anyway, Larri Jae, proved to have a very chameleonic style that perfectly fits every beat. And in Chapter 30 we have different kinds of moods, from the more Trap-ish “Sad Inc” to the more melodic Rnb tune “Alphabet Head”.
“Tell Me How”, is the more fast-paced tune in the EP, while still retaining his catchiness and showcasing Larri’s virtuosity.
This EP contains tracks produced by Grammy-Award winning producer Xcel and acclaimed producers PDub The Producer, so you’re an RnB aficionado, you’ll be overly satisfied by this release and its neat production.

Tate Sedar – “Find A Way”
EDM is not dead believe us. That’s one of the reasons this blog exists, and it is to remember people that there are still talented DJs, like TATE SEDAR, still thriving and making great music. TATE SEDAR, music producer based in Los Angeles, just released his tune Find A Way.
The tune is inspired by his own life and relationship with music. It is a hard task to make music part of your life, but as you can see also in his music video for the song here, this was always Tate’s mission number one.
Find A Way, takes the best from the electronic world, delivering a peculiar production that drags mainly inspiration from the broad EDM genre, but adds some subtle sounds and ear candies more typical in the dubstep and hardstyle genre.
By doing this Tate was able to create a unique style, that makes you bang your head from start to finish while staying extremely danceable.

Julient – “Calling For My Name”
Julient, is a singer and producer based in London, United Kingdom, and he just put out a new Dance-pop tune called “Calling For My Name”. That’s just his third single and the first one he is releasing in 2022. The tune talks about learning from our past mistakes and choosing the right path for our life.
That’s a hard and honest topic to bring up, but one where everyone could feel represented. The lyrics, melody and vocal style gave a melancholic vibe to the tune which is reinforced by the bass and synths sounds.
The synths and drum reminisce some 80s production, but the more obscure and uplifting tracks rather than the cheesy and superficials one. Indeed, doing a consistent Dance-Pop tune keeps his danceability but still gives you some food for thought, is a hard task, but Julient was able to deliver this flawlessly.

Tainted Youth – ”Feel That Way”
Tainted Youth is a fairly new electronic project formed by Ryan Hall & Kathleen Down. These two young lads are based in London, UK, and they just released their second tune for 2022 called “Feel The Way”.
The duo takes inspiration from the EDM of the last decade while adding their unique style and more rock approach. The electric guitar definitely gives the tune a great boost, and it is used intelligently throughout the tune.
We can also hear some dubstep influences, especially in the chorus, which is the most uplifting and energetic part, and yet also one of the most melodic and catchy parts of the song. Tainted Youth is definitely bringing back the electronic music in the Uk, and we cannot wait to hear some more tunes from them.
Jamythyst – “Wild Baby”
“Give It Up, yeah you Give It Up…” ehm sorry, I was still listening to Jamythyst‘s new tune called “Wild Baby”, and man the chorus really caught us off guard for his extreme catchiness, and 90s dance-pop extravaganza.
The tune starts with a more emo-trap approach, talking about Jamythyst’s breakup and bad relationship with solid production and beat. We definitely didn’t see the chorus coming and slap us in the face like that, but it works, oh god if it works.
The second chorus perfectly merges the 90s dance world and trap influences in the best way possible, and Jamythyst, which produced everything by herself, adds some new ear candies and synth sounds that keep our ears extremely entertained until the last note she sings. Wild…Wild song, Wild Baby, that’s indeed the perfect title for the song.
