HYPERSPACE: Best Discoveries of the Week – Episode Eighty-One
Get ready for the Hyperspace Jump.
We hustle had, we really do. We are back after another of our adventures. We swear we risked it all for this one, we could have lost our loot, but we were able to jump into the hyperspace in time and escape from some space pirate that trapped our spaceship when we were ordering a space hamburger in a space Mc Drive. If you wonder how a space hamburger tastes like, well not as good as a Krabby Patty we’d say. But hey, we are not in the ocean, so we don’t complain. By the way, here’s the precious loot we took with us, full of great music from around the universe. Music out of this world. For Real!!
Fasten your seatbelt and get ready to jump over Speedlight.

ME & MELANCHOLY – “Tears in the rain”
You already know we are suckers for everything that reminisces some of the best eras in electronic music, which is obviously the 80s. So we are extremely ecstatic to introduce you to this project that comes from Sweden. One of the best countries regarding modern pop music, and in this case as well, we have in our hands a hidden gem, a project that goes under the name Me & Melancholy which just released a new track called Tears in the Rain. We loved the synths used in this track, which teleported us directly back to the 80s, also the rhythmic section is well curated and the vocals are performed flawlessly with an incredible style. This track is incredibly solid, a synthpop tune you should not miss if you are a fan of the genre.
THE PLEBS – “Eye Of The Pleb – (Survivor – Eye Of The Tiger – Cover)”
We don’t have many info about this project, which makes it even more exciting in a way. We decided to review this track, as the supposed group was covering one of the most pumping track in the world. Well here you will not find the eye of the tiger but rather the Eye Of The Pleb, played by The Plebs. We loved the irony behind the track, and the instrumentation has a minimal electronic approach that we really enjoyed. The voice was generated by Junior a text-to-speech voice model, and this definitely added a peculiar take on the track. We personally found some similarities with the approach that a band like Viagra Boys could have on a song like this, and even though this might sound like a song made accidentally, it actually sounds great. GO THE PLEBS!!
PURPLE STONE – “A Little Something”
It probably never happened until now in one of our Hyperspace articles, but here we have another tune from a project based in Sweden, we are actually very excited, as we loved this country and all the songs if gifted us until now. Indeed, what we have here is another solid project called Purple Stone (solid in every sense as the name suggests). This duo just recently released a new track called A Little Something, and we loved the production of this one fondly. The track is extremely peaceful, but it conveys a lot of emotion, it really moved us. The vocals are performed in a very intimate way that expresses a lot of emotions. The gutiars reminded us a bit of the band XX, helped also by the ethereal sound design that makes this song truly special.
KEONTÉ – ‘SERENADE”
For this one we are flying to the United States, we felt very inspired by this track, so we are very excited to share it with you all. Here we have Keontê who just released the tunes Serenade. The track has an instrumentation that is very jazzy, introduced by a groovy bass, followed by some charming piano and some very passionate vocals that tell a fictional story based in 1920s Chicago of a young man trying to make great things. We felt so related to the theme of this track, as for the boy things get complicated because of a woman, c’mon it happened to all of us. Keonté tells us the story with an incredible vocal style, which mixes many genres, from rap to rnb and soul. We were incredibly impressed by the talent of the singer, so do yourself a favor and start following this talented artist right now.
THEPROFESSR – “MINISTRY”
We are now flying directly to one of our favorite cities in the world, of course, we are talking about London. This city attracts influences and cultures from everywhere in the world, and this song is the perfect example. Today we are showcasing this electronic project that goes under the name od TheProfessoR which just released a new track called Ministry. The very peculiar thing about this track is that it is introduced by a Spanish part, which then evolves into an electronic track, slightly House inspired, with an incredibly catchy chorus. The Spanish vibe remains in the form of ear Ccndy for the great of the track, and we loved the journey this song took us. The sound design is incredible, and the pop and anthemic vibes makes this song a perfect tune to be played in big clubs, even in places like Formentera or even Ibiza.
