ÆVINA – “Daily Dose of Danger”
We never heard a ukulele hitting us so hard. Here we have an incredible artist who goes under the name of ævina and the single we are going to showcase today is daily dose of danger. The track has a soundtrack vibe that would fit perfectly on Pretty Little Liar or even videogames liked The Last Of Us. The dark vibes conveyed by the ukulele mixed with the mysterious and mesmerizing vocals, create an incredible sound design that literally teleports the listener into a cryptic world, thriller-inspired, where everything can happen. We were amazed by the vocals on this track, and the minimal arrangement is extremely powerful, something that is very hard to achieve.
BERANI – “Your Opinion (Extended Mix)”
For this next one, we are flying to Australia to meet with a very cool electronic artist who is under the name Berani. Of course, here we are sharing the Extended Mix of his last track called Your Opinion. The track has some Oliver Heldens vibes, but this electronic artist goes even further, adding some Tropical House vibes and some Acid House elements to the mix as well. Very interesting the use of the vocals and the panning effect. Overall this track would sound amazing on a Happy Hour Party in a busy beach in Ibiza or even during a Club Night. The track was produced in Brani’s home studio, and the result is very impressive.
SOPHIA STEPHENS – “Love & Grief”
Now we are going back to the States to meet with this new artist. Her name is Sophia Stephens and she recently released her album called Love & Grief. In 2024 is extremely hard to put out an album, so every time we see an artist being able to put that much effort into their music, we are always extremely impressed. One reason we are very impressed by this release is that Sophia was able to craft an album were every song has a distinct sound and theme. We indeed find many genres in this album, from pop to pop punk, piano-driven songs and acoustic ballads. Every track is connected perfectly, and Sophia’s powerful vocals always stand out.
LEO GOLO – “Too Close”
If we need to have some fun there’s one place that comes to our mind. That’s Spain, and indeed we are travelling to this amazing country to meet with Leo Golo and ANGE, they recently released a track called Too Close. While we might expect something upbeat coming from a Spanish artist, this time we are listening to a more meditative track. Still incredibly catchy and very danceable, this electro-pop track has a great production and topo-notch vocals coming from both singers. We loved the guitar licks in the production and the drum section is extremely clever, and while it is full of elements, this is able to always make the melody shine.
KHYNAN RHYS – “Closed Doors”
We are flying back to our home country. Representing England here we have an amazing and fresh artist called Khynan Rhys. His last track is called Closed Doors and we found it incredible. We loved the guitar-driven intro. This one hits very hard with some fuzz effects, that sounds like Do I Wanna Know on steroids. Khynan vocals are incredible as well, very charming and passionate at the same time. It is pretty much impossible not to feel touched by his performance. This track is a rollercoaster that gets you extremely high with his intense riff parts and soothing verses. We are definitely up for another ride, or maybe another two.
Carlos Ucedda – “FIVE SENSES”
We always need to find an artist that is able to go beyond the rules of the genre. We happily found this week a release that was able to tick this box. Here we have Carlos Ucedda with the song Five Senses. If you are in love with Art Pop and Avant Garde music, this is going to be your new jam. This hidden gem has an incredible sound design, the track keeps evolving adding new elements. More than a song this track is a trip, and when Carlos vocals enter the mix, you are going to experience an incredible journey that will lead you into unexplored soundscapes. The result is an electronic track like no other, blood enough to experiment, yet remaining extremely catchy and vibrant.
AI Bob – “Fading Frames”
It is time for a track that we really liked this week and we had to share with you all. Here we have AI Bob with the track Fading Frames. This song might sound extremely simple in the beginning. That’s because the vocals are very soothing and calming, but the melody has a lot of nuances that you might catch after a couple of listens. We found some similarities with the works of Jeremy Zucker, anyway, this artist has his own vibe and style, and we also enjoyed the riffs and sound design. Everything stays in the same theme and vibe of the vocals, making the sound extremely solid, and incredibly catchy. If you are into pop tracks with some acoustic vibes, then add this tune to your playlist, you will not regret it.
