Hey Space Travellers,

Episode 179 landed, fasten your seatbelts and get ready to depart!
FAKE SUEDE – “Speak Up”
In this brand new episode, FAKE SUEDE is seriously onto something with his single “Speak Up”. This isn’t just a normal song, trying to get attention.. it just sneaks into your head, gets comfy, and stays there FOREVER. This is a mix of alt-R&B, neo-soul, and indie vibes: it’s ridiculously smooth from start to finish.
This track is built around acoustic guitars, warm Rhodes piano, buttery harmonies, a killer horn section, and a groove that’s impossible not to nod along to. There’s a proper vintage soul flavour running through it, but the production is super fresh, modern, and clean.
The lyrics are all about that awkward “so.. what are we?” conversation every situationship eventually has to face. And FAKE SUEDE lets the groove do half the talking here, making the vulnerability feel incredibly natural.
This phenomenal single has that laid-back vibe that instantly puts you at ease, but it doesn’t sacrifice its emotional weight. It’s the kind of tune you throw on a random evening, a lazy Sunday morning, or when you’re overthinking someone who still hasn’t defined the relationship. Smooth, packed with personality, every melody plays tricks on your mind until you’re completely hooked.
LVSA – “AFTERLIGHT”
LVSA comes here just after digging up a lost 80s movie soundtrack and giving it a serious modern twist: “Afterlight” is the name of the project, ready to bring us into another dimension.
An EP of 5 tracks, LVSA really nails that sweet spot between synth-pop, synthwave, and nostalgic electronic pop. The production is packed with warm synths, punchy drums, nostalgic melodies, and cinematic textures that instantly make you travel back to the 80s era with a modern mentality.
“Afterlight” feels quite personal, particularly on tracks like “In Another Life”, where the collaboration with The Bad Dreamers adds some serious depth to the record. But the other tracks are no less worthy. There’s never really a boring moment here.. each song brings its own emotion, flavour, and atmosphere, while still fitting perfectly into the same nostalgic universe.
The groove is definitely the protagonist of the production, along with its beautiful melodies. LVSA clearly knows how to work out the drums, and that rhythmic instinct gives even the dreamier moments some serious movement.
Ridiculously easy to vibe with, Afterlight is synth-pop done with plenty of heart, and you guys will fall in love with that, 100%.
ARI4 – “COLORS”
ARI4 doesn’t come here trying to sound larger than life: she starts small, vulnerable, and lets her new single “COLORS” grow naturally from there.
The track came out of a conversation about trauma bonding and the strange ways people can find each other through their wounds. Wonderful idea here, but this single isn’t really interested in sitting around feeling sorry for itself. Its whole message is basically: yeah, we’re all a little fucked up, but that doesn’t mean we stop living.
The production follows that journey beautifully: stripped-back, intimate, just before guitars, drums, and beautiful vocals gradually push everything forward. By the time the bigger chorus arrives, the track has opened up into this beautiful wall of sounds that completely surrounds you.
And that’s probably what we like most here. “COLORS” has something to say, but it never feels preachy. It’s vulnerable, melodic and genuinely uplifting with loads of character.
A really promising introduction from ARI4: raw, human, emotional, and ultimately pretty damn hopeful!
The Bastas Project – “Sharp Comfort”
The Bastas Project knows exactly what they want to say, but they’re not afraid to have a bit of fun getting there.
“Sharp Comfort” is produced around the idea of people being like hedgehogs in the cold: desperate for warmth but terrified of getting close enough to get hurt. The album turns a surprisingly simple metaphor into something quite relatable. We all want connection, but sometimes our own defences are the thing getting in the way.
This project has a rich sound, refusing to sit neatly in one box. Folk, rock, reggae, pop.. all bump into each other, while the guitars, beats and vocals give the project plenty of personality. The balance between the catchy songwriting and deeper ideas is definitely the strongest point of this album. It never feels like the Bastas Project are trying too hard to sound profound. Warmth, humour and plenty of groove here, but underneath there’s a pretty honest look at relationships, fear and vulnerability.
This wonderful album is quirky, heartfelt and refreshingly different: a project with genuine character and a lot more going on beneath the surface!
Disco Dreams – “OutLands”
You guys already know we’re addicted to retro sounds, and Disco Dreams comes to rescue us with his latest banger “OutLands”.
The track kicks off with lush synths, deep basses, and a groove that gets moving without making a massive song and dance about it. An incredibly dreamy, psychedelic vibe runs through the whole thing, with enough 80s/90s nostalgia to scratch that retro itch while still sounding fresh.
The production is packed with plenty of little details: synths that float in and out, processed vocals pop up like ghostly transmissions, and everything gradually builds this huge and trippy atmosphere around you. This is the kind of track where you put your headphones on and suddenly realise you’ve been staring into space for five minutes.
“OutLands” is smooth, cosmic, and seriously vibey. Basically, you’ll just have to press play, switch your brain off for a bit, and let Disco Dreams take the wheel.. and trust us, you won’t be disappointed here.

Remik Erikson – “A Baker’s Dirty Dozen”
Remik Erikson brings us a 13-track album that’s basically a full-on playground where electronic pop, house, synth-driven production and cheeky humour all get thrown into the same mixing bowl. Yes, the food-based references are everywhere, but the joke kinda works because Remik genuinely commits to it. Feeling awkward with the “did I really just say that?” energy..? Nah, he just owns the absurdity and runs with it.
Yeah, there’s a lot of personality sitting underneath the silliness. The album feels playful and ridiculous on the surface, but there’s also something quite warm and personal there. You get the sense that Remik isn’t just making jokes for the sake of it; he’s turning everyday life, relationships and affection into his own weird little musical universe.
This project features punchy drums, chunky basslines, synth-heavy arrangements, and enough stylistic switch-ups to stop the whole thing becoming repetitive.
This wonderful project will definitely keep you busy during the next few days. A bit weird? Definitely. Loads of fun? Hell yes.
Jamie Dickinson – “Clarity”
Let’s get our heads out of the fog with “Clarity”, the latest incredible single of Jamie Dickinson. You know that moment when everything suddenly starts making sense? Yeah, that’s the vibe.
Jamie blends electropop, EDM energy, and some personal songwriting, keeping things emotional without letting the track get bogged down in its own seriousness. The production has plenty of atmosphere, but the groove.. guys, the groove is addictive, for real. Yes, it’s kind of reflective music, sure, but you can absolutely vibe to it too.
“Clarity” is a really honest track, and Jamie doesn’t pretend he’s got life completely figured out; instead, he takes that messy journey from uncertainty to self-discovery and turns it into something uplifting. His vocals also bring plenty of emotion, giving the track a unique and beautiful feeling.
Polished, catchy, and heartfelt, this is a proper feel-good electropop track with something real underneath the surface.
thebrekka – “Simplicity”
Good vibes definitely don’t end here, as thebrekka brings us his single “Simplicity”,
This phenomenal Dublin producer keeps things refreshingly straightforward, building the track around the stuff that actually matters: a banging beat, infectious energy, and a vibe that puts you in a better mood than anything else you can think of. The production doesn’t try to flex for the sake of it: everything sits nicely together, giving the track that movement that makes your head nod.
But the coolest thing is the intention behind this project: thebrekka is making music to uplift, escape the daily grind, and give people somewhere else to go for a few minutes. And honestly, you can feel that, because he does it in an incredibly unique style that’s all his own.
Made entirely from his bedroom studio, “Simplicity” is a really genuine, positive track, and properly easy to vibe with. No unnecessary bells and whistles, just good energy doing its thing!
Ash L Leif – “The Aegis Frequency”
The night is not over, as Ash L. Leif brings us his latest single, “The Aegis Frequency,” this time cooking up a smooth, atmospheric track that’s ridiculously easy to sink into.
We’re talking moody R&B, glossy electronic production, deep bass, and just enough drama to keep things interesting. It has that late-night kind of energy: mysterious, emotional, and slightly cinematic, like the soundtrack to a complicated love story unfolding after midnight.
The production is really spot-on here. Everything is polished and spacious, with the electronic elements giving the track plenty of weight while the R&B influence keeps it warm and catchy. The vocals bring plenty of character too, adding a sense of vulnerability that makes the song feel quite personal.
The chorus brings real sentiment and really seals that feeling. In the end, this wonderful single feels like the kind of track you put on when the world quiets down: A dim room and that late-night headspace where everything hits a little deeper.
The Phirejets – “Rise Up”
If there’s one thing The Phirejets aren’t interested in, it’s sitting quietly while the world goes sideways. This wonderful band throws us straight into a big, theatrical rock journey with their new track “Rise Up”, which feels part protest song, part history lesson, and part wake-up call.
The track starts off surprisingly self-controlled, with a piano and Erica’s powerful vocals setting an almost Broadway-style scene. As soon as guitars get in, things keep building, moving through crunchy riffs, progressive-rock style, and dramatic shifts that give the song a proper rollercoaster feel.
The message here is probably the most important part of the track: they’re not simply telling everyone to pick a side and start swinging; “Rise Up” questions the whole idea of division. With references to more than 40 legendary artists from across music history, this band connects today’s chaos with decades of musicians who have used their voices to challenge injustice and shake people out of complacency.
Erica Brown absolutely owns the vocal performance, bringing bluesy grit and serious theatrical power to the table. Bold, ambitious and packed with crazy ideas, “Rise Up” isn’t here to spoon-feed you an answer. It wants you to think, question, and maybe realise that sometimes rising above the noise is the real way to rise up.
