Space Discovery: Bad Bubble – “An Intricate Cacophony”
Hey Space Travellers,
Today with us there’s an incredible artist who deserves to be listened to. He goes under the name of Bad Bubble and he recently released an entire new album called An Intricate Cacophony. We are in very difficult times, and producing music is getting harder and also to promote entire albums requires a lot of passion and endurance. Something that Bad Bubble has done majestically, especially if you consider how the artist made this album. The artist has always had some kind of connection with music. Starting when he was very young and watched his mother play the piano. Even though the artist just recently started playing the piano itself, during 2021, he was no starnger regarding music. Even though the genre of the album ranges from electronic to symphonic, he has a punk rock past. Similar to an artist called Moby, we all know you that guy, right? Well, Moby comes from an influential punk hardcore band, so Bad Bubbles story has definitely his similarities since he comes from different punk bands that played in the mid-west area.

What really got us about this artist is the extreme versatility of his composition. The sound design of the album is incredible, the release starts with a perfect intro called Scintillating Noir, and then continues with three songs that stand in similar soundscapes that remind us of Phil Collins and the whole electro-pop and ambient genre famous and established in the last 80s and early 90s. Sliced Bongo, Injinit and Eighty Six on Me are indeed the core of the album. The backbone. Indeed if you want a taste of Bad Bubble expertise, you should start from there. The album than evolves and enters more intricated arrangements with solid Synthwave vibes. An Intricate Cacophony, Lovefullness, and The Construction Workers are tracks are took inspiration from bands like Tears For Fears, and there are some similarities with bands like Depeche Mode and the catchiness and anthemic vibes of bands like Duran Duran. The vocal production here is flawless with amazing vocoder moments that we deeply appreciated.
The album is ever-evolving with rock-infused tracks like Abuse Your Walls and Two on One. We also have some RNB chilled moments listening to The Cruel Old Man and The Latch.
Surprisingly we arrive at the end of the album energized, but also with a meditative mindset, prone to introspection. As we approach the end of Demure & Insular, the perfect and flawless outro for this release, we realize how this album was an adventurous journey. An odyssey full of incredible soundscapes fused with incredible sounds and effects. Bad Bubble recorded everything using a TASCAM Model 24 and played all the instruments you heard. THAT is EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE. We feel like putting yourself a limit sometimes is a way to prove the limitless power of a creative mind, and Bad Bubble did a perfect job with that.
