HYPERSPACE: Best Discoveries of the Week – Episode Seventy-Seven

We are closer and closer to the 100th episode and we feel really excited about it. But for now, we celebrate every episode in the same way. The 77th is no exception, as we have some amazing artists from out of this world this week as well. We didn’t have to go far away to find these amazing and talented artists, but the path was very difficult and obscure, as you know there’s no light in the universe, and our space torches were not enough. We had to rely on our ears to find the best music, and our ears never let us down.

GENEVIEVE SOVEREIGN – “Random Number”
With the first release of this episode, we want to unveil “Random Number”, the funky lead single from Genevieve Sovereign‘s hot new project, “STARSEEDS WANTED: enquire within”. Teaming up with producer Michael Wheeler, this track is a wild ride through life’s crazy twists and turns. In this track, Genevieve is lying down some sick vocal samples during a casual studio sesh, and boom! Inspiration strikes, and “Random Number” is born. With catchy beats and lyrics that’ll make you think, it’s like a party for your ears!

KMALECTRO – “Panta rhei”
Our musical journey continues with a crazy track called “Panta rhei” by KMALECTRO! If you’re a real Space Traveller and followed us for long enough, you might know who this artist already is. In case you are new, we will present you with him again. Directly from Italy, we have an amazing producer called BIAS, and here we are showcasing one of his latest productions called Clarity. We loved this track fondly, the Drum and Bass rhythm fits perfectly in the mix and has some late 90s and early 2000s vibes when Drum and Bass started being used on various games for PlayStation 1. This is definitely one of our favorite genres of Drum and Bass and it is great to see artists like BIAS bringing us back into that era. CARLOS UCEDDA – “At The Bottom”
Carlos Ucedda brings us an incredible track called “At The Bottom”, which delves into the depths of the mind, exploring the challenges of living with diagnosed mental health conditions. With influences ranging from synth waves to nostalgic pop from the 80s and 90s, Carlos’s music offers a versatile blend of genres and vocal styles. KELSIE KIMBERLIN – “Parking Lot”
it is now time to have some proper fun with Kelsie Kimberlin, even though we are flying to the United States to meet with this artist, her latest tune is transporting us to Colombia. The tune we are talking about is called Parking Lot and it is paired with a very cool music video that you can watch by clicking here. We loved how the Colombian instrumentation mixes with the pop rhythm and catchy vocals from Kelsie Kimberlin. The chorus is extremely catchy and the whole tune is incredibly danceable. plus the song also features legendary Colombia producer Pedro Vengoechea. If you are into reggaeton-inspired tracks and dance tracks, this is your jam.
MASSIVE CRANES – “Monuments”
You are probably not ready for this. We were not when we started this journey, but it was definitely worth it. Yes, because Monuments is an album like no other. This was made by Massive Cranes from the city we most love, which of course is London. The mysterious vibes introduced by this album have no comparisons, we loved the cinematic vibes that every track has. the vocals on top perfectly match this ethereal and at times dark vibes, delivering some compelling lines always with a smooth and catchy flow. This is not only trap, and it is not only rap, that’s something more definitely. Monuments is an album that challenges you but gives you a lot of satisfaction at the same time. Don’t lose this one out.
A-ZAL – “17 & 11 Nights”
We have a very special guest on this episode, we are talking about A-ZA, an incredible singer-songwriter and producer from the United States. His latest track is called 17 & 11 Nights and it is mixed by Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum mix engineer Benny Steele. Not only this but this incredible artist also wrote soundtracks for Marvel Studios’ “Loki” and “Ms. Marvel” You can see when a songwriter is really top-notch when he is able to write great music for his own project. This track is incredibly catchy and the arrangement is curated in minimum details. You can easily hear as the sound design give space to every instrument in the mix. HORST GRABOSCH – “Addictive Feelings”
Let’s now fly to one of our favorite countries for electronic music. Of course, we are talking about Germany, and today we are showcasing an incredible artist called Horst Grabosch. He recently released a track called Addictive Feelings. That’s an electronic track that takes inspiration from many different genres. The instrumentation blinks at genres like progressive house and chill house. The track is full of ear candies and an incredibly cinematic sound design topical in the leftfield genre. Finally, the vocals add that catchiness you can find in dance music and electro pop hits. That’s an eclectic track you should save on your playlists right now.
